Roberta Nichol's freedom convoy song

Regina's Roberta Nichol, 69, is a musician and retired schoolteacher who has captured the frustration of Ottawa residents dealing with the truckers' protest in a light-hearted reworking of the Dean Martin classic, That's Amore. It's going viral, with more than 24K views on YouTube.

Hey Budley! How’s life treating you up there at the other end of Lake Ontario?
Just great, a tad icy and it’s gonna get bad by tomorrow once it freezes. The protesters are starting to roll in to the city as well. I’m just in awe that they are not stopped at the roads leading to the downtown core. I can see why this shit is happening given the total lack of critical thought demonstrated here. Toronto did it right and would love to see water cannons come out soon at Windsor crossing as I watch it live ;). That would be so cool pun intended lol.

The Windsor police are starting to move on the trucks at the bridge and they seem to be starting to clear Ottawa as well. The tow truck drivers on contract with the cities that are refusing to tow the tractors need to be sued for breach of contract as well. This is getting stupid and I agree that they need to bring in the armed forces and their resources to move these trucks
I heard something about the tow companies were getting threats sent to them if they were seen towing the trucks.

Seems like a case of terrorism IMO.

These "truckers". How can they afford to keep their rigs parked so long? They aren't working men are they? Somebody is renting some scrubs' time.

Sooo funny how right wing media is playing this up as some sort of worker's rebellion. Real workers protest on days off. Also the trucking companies. No way they could allow this if it were their dime. Same with that "tow trucker" who put himself up as the face of this operation. It's all a farce.

Been wondering the same. Maybe do nothing, let that republican money run out.

The smart part of this right wing troll is that they get to pretend everyone that gets trapped behind these idiots is part of their bullshit protest. When in reality I would guess most of the trucks are pissed they are being held up by the brainwashed/astro-turf 'movement'. 5-12 trucks could easily cause that backup I would bet.

it would be very interesting to see who was paying the bills for that week plus they sat there, costing working people money...
seems kind of odd that the republicans shit a brick so quick when gofundme decided to shut the convoy down and return people's money to them...

Yeah, it was a rough week. But I respect the restraint Canada's government had throughout.

Fire hoses have a sordid history when used without restraint.

I know the history of fire hoses in the United States. I didn't mean it literally. But they should take steps to breakup protests when they are having a direct effect on the public and transit. If they want to go protest somewhere that's fine. Let them hang out in a field for as long as they want. The news cameras will find them. But when they start disrupting everyone elses live then they should be removed. If it takes a little force then so be it.
