We will never know what an Obama presidency would have been like. He had 8 solid years of the Repugs’ obstruction effectively neutralizing his programs.
I liked Obama,he grew on me even more w/time,had a cool demeaner IMO and was a balanced, grounded leader. I thought my country would benefit in racial matters when he was elected but the Reps made it a point to hamper him in all ways possible, but at least Af. Americans know now that the impossible is possible, but you know the USA in such matters one step forward then two steps back.

Does anybody here seriously believe that Vlad is going to tell NATO what to do while threatening a military alliance many times stronger with violence and attack? If Vlad has a protracted war with Ukraine will we resupply them, even if Vlad says no or will it come to blows? He will have to control western Ukraine along the polish border to cut supply and try to force the leadership out of the country or capture them. Ukraine has a quarter million man army plus reserves, apparently they are motivated to fight and have been reasonably well armed, so it might not be as quick as Vlad wants. He will have to take the whole country, not pieces of it.

What was Obama doing in the 8 years he was in office about Russia? One example I recall, he declined to arm Ukraine after Russia’s invasion in 2014. (Shortly after coming into office Trump approved that same request, then also requested 17 billion for the European Deterrence Initiative in his first 2 years, compared to Obama’s 5 billion in the last 3 years he was in office)

Russia has invaded Ukraine. This is war. I sincerely hope this does not escalate but the thread title indicates it has.
This might be a place to tally all of Putin’s acts of aggression.
24/2/22-?
So does this mean we're done with the 'War' thread? Also, what is the extra 'W' for in your title?
