So, I have a weird problem. My plants are growing to well, too fast. I'm seriously considering cutting flaps in the top of my grow tent, to put the lights outside, to give me more space. The seeds I got weren't supposed to get this tall, I have the light as high as They can go( without cutting a flap as earlier stated, lol) and the plants are growing to the lights and will soon be past. It's a 7 ft grow tent, and I'm only in my 2nd week of flower, buds aren't even formed yet, so they may grow more. They are taking about 3 gallons of water a day. Was told they would be small plants, definitely not true.

extreme solution is to top them right now. if you havent got any more space to bend and tie or supercrop, topping is the only solution i can think of. i do that with my cannalope hazes sometimes. i know that its a hell of a stretcher stretching well into the week 5 of flowering so i veg it less tie it all the way down but sometimes it still needs topping in flower.

Ok, I'll try that. I've literally done everything wrong and these things are growing like weeds, no pun intended. Took time getting the temp consistent, ph was off numerous times, one of the main stems broke earlier and I taped it. Overheated it about a week ago and it was all droopy and leaves falling off. Literally a day later it was fine and growing again. I tied it down and it literally cut into itself to grow up, so I took it off. Was told this tent could hold 4 or 5 plants. It's a 4x5x7. 2 plants have taken the whole tent. It's crazy how they're growing.

Just chaulk it up as a learning experience for next run. Rule of thumb is size doubles at flip

To the contrary. ..to have plants that big and seemingly healthy, you're doing something right. Maybe TOO right for your conditions, lol

I agree with just topping them all.

I ran into a similar problem on my current grow, one plant stretched for like 5 weeks and just got way too tall...if the stems haven't gotten woody yet, I would pinch them 1-2 feet below the tops and bend them right over at a 90 degree angle, maybe even further so they're pointing down...go slow and be careful that the stems are fully squished before folding them over. You can sort of direct where they go by the direction you pinch in, like felling a tree. Yes some will flop, do not offer them any support. Within a day or two they will be pointing back up, only further from the light because of the bend. If the stems are woody this is more risky but at this point they don't even have little budlets so you're probably okay.

Also the sheer amount of biomass you've got going on in there is gonna pose its own problems. If it were me I'd start with bending over, then remove entire branches to thin out the canopy, rather do than a bunch of topping, which is either going to stunt them or make them way way more bushy than they already are.

Beautiful plants btw. For an unknown strain/pheno it's probably better to err on the side of too short of veg time than too long...

It's my first grow, ever, so I figured if anything, they'd be too small. I did adjust the lights already, gonna follow somewhere suggestions from you guys. Thanks for the help. Oh the strain is Amhurst Diesel.
