Yup, no substitute for the big light in the sky! It'll be nice when it actually comes out and stays for a while.Look at them pray tho
I'm looking forward to seeing which plant structure lends itself to outdoor bud development and resilience. It's possible that the shorter tighter indoor ones, when they're put outside, will be more susceptible to mold than the taller more open and spread out ones. It might depend how far along in the stretch they are when they finally go outside. This morning I raised the light in there to try and get them to open up a bit more.

Supposedly an auto will start flowering when the taproot reaches the bottom of the pot. Basically I made the pot longer by cutting a hole in the coffee can, thus a longer veg. Seems to have worked, other 2 plants are way ahead in flower.Never heard of that, what's it about?

Interesting trial run. I've had similar anecdotal evidence comparing short wide pots to narrow tall ones, and that experience continues to impact my choices (although that was mostly about final plant shape rather than speed of maturation). I'm always looking for tendencies and likely outcomes.
There seem to be very few definitive conclusions I can draw based on my grows. For instance the bad job of up-potting I did this time -- in this group I can't find any universal impacts that I can attribute to root damage, even though the damage was fairly consistent. At least in part it's the price of variety -- I always run all different strains, the unintended result being that any knowledge I gain is general and cumulative and takes time to compile. Mostly I'm just glad when they finish well. So far these are doing well enough, all things considered.
The differences between the ones put out and the ones kept in continue...

Week 6 today. Nights are still in the 40’s and are due to be for another 10 days. Starting to stretch now and I’ve topped 3 of them except the purple punch as was further ahead in flower.

Damn! Those are some huge leaves! Your plants are looking good, sounds like you're having a cooler early summer. It'll be fun to see how in our different climates our Green Cracks respond differently. It's interesting how the plants structure adapts to its environment. I raised my light but haven't gotten my indoor ones to stretch as much as I wanted them to. We'll see what happens when they hit the outdoors.
Here's some pics from this morning. The weather is finally looking like it's going to break into summer, this Monday they should all finally go out.

Tonight will be the last night with the plastic over the hoop-house for a while, and it's totally overcast, so this afternoon seemed like a goof time to move the garage plants outside... FINALLY.
Inside/outside are all mixed up, because I wanted to put the taller ones in the back/north row. This week should be decent weather, the season should finally take off.
There are a few significant differences between the inside and outside ones -- one being that the outside ones got soaked with rain before I put the cover on which combined with being in cooler temps resulted in not being manually watered even one time in the last couple of weeks. The indoor girls on the other hand were watered and therefore fed during that time with a 'grow'/N-leaning mix, so they're a darker green (yes, long story, one got too much). A couple of days in the sun and I'll have another opportunity to feed them all. I would imagine that within a few weeks their differences should be less obvious.

**EDIT** After typing/posting all of that I realized I'd need to separate the groups in order to feed them differently, so this is what it looks like now (I also got the old beat up orange tree out of there to make more room...)

Looking great man! Super healthy and a nice size for sure! Hoping you weather gets better now they are about to bloom.
Just had some grass frost last night! Luckily got a greenhouse so temps stayed about 45 which is about as low as they can go without getting out of shape I’ve found.
Purple punch is just starting to form some buds now

Good thing you've got that greenhouse! Leaves look healthy, and that one looks like it's already showing its purple in that baby bud, should be a beauty.

Note if you ever use airpots outside prepare to water like a mofo! These are drying out nearly every 3 days already. Especially the big girl. Not even in flower yet.
I assume it’s due to the winds we’ve been having coupled with sunshine. The air is constantly stripping moisture away from the outsides making them dry out a lot quicker than non windy days

So, this my first auto-grow. I have 7 plants growing in bags outside. They get as much sun as i can get, (was a rainy cool spring) but I managed some bit the dust but so what? Anyway, the three oldest are about 7-8 wks, 1 is around 6 wk, and three are about 5 weeks. All are Afgha skunk.
Depending on your latitude and climate, you may have already started your outdoor (or for those in the southern hemisphere, you're ending it?). I'm around 45.5n in NW Oregon, and I'll soak my seeds this Friday and start them in one gallon pots in the garage. Last year the first heatwave hit June 1st, and forced me out of the garage early because it got too hot in there. We'll see what this year brings. The plan is to put them outside in their final pots, end of the first week in June.
Feel free to post your grows and progress, I'd love to see all the outdoor gardens.
