Flipping to flower tomorrow

That is good to know and yeah I was on the otherhand at first was worried about blocking light to other nodes but was just not sure what to expect today and tomorrow and on lol. I think I will give it a trim unless it is okay to wait a few days.
Yeah, especially with those cheaper Amazon LEDs. They really struggle with light penetration. If your serious about this hobby I'd highly recommend saving up for a better quality light. I know it's tempting to just add more cheap watts but the difference in results using better lights is drastic. Talking from first hand experience...

Usually they first of all are like 500$ which I am willing to do but second, they often need 36” and more of hang height which this is a 79” and plants are as short as can be already. I seen people yield 8 or 9oz from a 130w though the exact model I cannot recall but might still be able find out if I go back.

What would you recommend for low end but decent yield and high end when I have the funds? LEDs I figured were tricky like those ones would actually cause me confusion and issues.

Great for veg so far, I seem to know my light there but flower? Let’s see. They will be halfway done by the time I can afford what you are referring to. I can however, double this or get another 130w.

If I can trouble you for advice on dealing with the big boy lights maybe even which brands and models and the low end and high end watts if you need to learn your way around the low wattage ones first, please let me know what you can offer me on advice if I may.

Yeah, for sure bud. Obviously everyone has a budget. Personally I'd keep an eye on sales. Don't be afraid to buy last year's model. Ledgrowlightsdepot.com often has some really solid mark downs. For top tier stuff I'd recommend HLG for QBs, CaliLightworks or Timber for COBs. I haven't tried or seen much from Timbers QBs or strip lights but I'd assume they're top notch just cause the company is. There's lots of good brands now though so look around. Those are just what I've actually used.

I've also gotten good results from the SpiderFarmer stuff, though I'm not sure it's worth it at this point. It's not that much more to go HLG. There's also a guy on eBay named "ucandewit" that sells some pretty solid QBs and DIY kits. DIY LEDs are definitely the best bang for your buck, but don't ask me for help there, I don't have the focus for that myself lol. I have used his QBs though, the 250w in particular, and it's treated me quite well.

Just remember, watts are a good jumping off point, but when it comes to LEDs in particular its not the whole story. uMols and PAR and spectrum and all kinds of stuff I only superficially understand matter too. I only know this cause this HLG Blackbird at 600w absolutely knocks the socks off the 3 SpiderFarmer 2000s I was running even though it's the same total wattage. I never once had to dim the SF2000s, but if I go over 60% on the HLG in veg I'll cook my plants (learned that the hard way!)

Hello,

Nice! Looks well kept, I may just be a bad researcher online but it is hard to find journals that are complete that show LST, things covered already on this thread and ect. I found some, but strains can differ soo far from yours at the time.

I will for sure defoliate but as stated, the plants are just now going through enough stress flipping. Or maybe not! Part of why I posted this. Also because this is where the “ride” begins lol.

Another great example incase i forget what branches to leave and cut. Planted seeds, planning on focusing more on training and going from cup to finishing pot.
Hey there's a guy on YouTube that has some pretty good videos of LST and other stuff it called 'from seed to stoned' check it out if you get a chance :weed:

This one is under $300, and will light a 4x4 tent: https://www.amazon.com/Spectrum-GP-4800-Upgraded-Foldable-Commercial/dp/B09LMCK2TC

That is still short of my tent, and I am just realizing why lol. I have two very hard to find tent sizes, so naturally the lights will be just as hard to find. I just found a link actually, that I saved.

Was window shopping and had that saved since it was 3x5. 650w. I do not know much about the more costly ones though and if they are needed or if they will be harder to use than mine that I cannot even lower to mfg recomendations still and etc.

Personally I'd put 3 or 4 HLG QB96's in that space, but they are currently sold out.

This run was more for fun while I develop mothers and clones, was going for a SOG from seed just to learn about the strain, the stretch factor ect. I would need 4 to 8 OZ a month. Yea lol. I was going off of a post saying pot sizes and yield and it said a half OZ off a one gal and an OZ for 2 gal.

Is this able to yield more if they need to be and are feed more than twice a day? or at all? I do not think now is the time to ask what you think they will yield, but if you think you know, let me know lol. 250w LED.
Do your thing man that's what it's all about, learning. I wasn't bashing or anything like that.

No, I asked because it seems like you have been doing this for a while and may of had a good guess on yield lol. I haven’t tried asking because it is much too soon. I would ask when it is a few weeks from harvest since it is hard to guess at first until it dries.

I did not think you were bashing me, for a heavy user that is rediculous, I tried getting someone to grow and told them what they may be looking at (minimal guess was right) they were like “screw this” lol. Outdoor though.

What size is your tent? You are in one gallon pots?
