Uv light filter for rdwc

Yeh, that's nice. I like in Southern California and they change water source according to the season. It usually runs at least 200PPM and since it's ground water and then they switch to CA aqueduct water, I just went with an RO unit. Plus here in beigeville, garages don't have sinks and many don't even have a hose outlet.
What part of California are you from? I was born and raised in Anaheim. I live in Oregon now tho

sounds like you have an underlying issue that i guess would be a light leak(s)

you arent' running any weird organic supplements are you?
I looked for light leaks came up with nothing. I'm just using jacks for nutrients.and that's it. Was on a different site and someone said that putting hands in the water can put pathogens in the water and that could be my issue

I'm an immigrant, truth be told. Moved to the US in 1979 and moved further and further West as the years passed. I moved to CA to work for Apple in 2002 and then here to OC in 2005. ATM, I'm in "biegeville", wedged between the 405 and the 5.

"could" - I wouldn't put money on that. We're covered in all sorts of microbes but, unless you introduced something novel, we're dealing with plants that have been thriving in the outdoors for something like 28MM years. That's a history major's opinion, so take it for what it's worth.

Earlier in the thread you said you were using "uc". Not clear on that meaning.

Light leaks makes is the most likely culprit but seeing that your setup is a commercial product, that would have been an outlier. Glad that Rocky raised it.

Got it.

How about pictures of the grow, roots included? Will bennies/UC kill root rot or just prevent it?

What are your thoughts about the cleaning process? That seemed pretty comprehensive though I don't know if the situation actually warrants a full stem to stern cleaning like that.

are you using max dose of UC roots?

is your chiller on a closed loop or is it inline and reservoir water goes thru it?

also, if you arent' getting the UC roots into all of the hydroton and around the bottom of the stem, there could be all kinds of nasty stuff hiding in it.

I scrub everything down after every run then run bleach water for 3 days and finish it up with ro water to clear out the bleach

I add 5ml per gallon every other day. Chiller is ran to the fallponics reservoir and the reservoir water runs thur at 68 degrees

from that pic, i'd try to move your airpump out of the room too.

and i like to use panda film (blk/white) to cover up the tops of all my net pots. just a small whole in center for the stem
