Cooking out alcohol for FECO

I usually use the Green Dragon method for making Tinctures and wish I had this time, but I broke out my MBM and made 2 cups of Green Dragon tincture.
Ive never made FECO before and I’m not sure for how long or how far down I cook off the alcohol.
I poured the tincture into a mason jar and put it in a water bath in my insta pot on sauté.
How much do I reduce the contents down?

Just to give you an idea of how far down to dry it in good bud there are about 5 grams of oil per oz. Lets say you use 1/2 oz of good bud you should get abuot 2 1/2 grams of oil. So, no matter how much EC you evaporate you will still have 2 1/2 grams of oil. In most cases that's enough to make a batch of cookies.

You will have a good idea of how much oil there is by how much bud you use. Estimate the size of dose you want. Divide the amount of oil you think you have by the number of doses you want.

I use totally different methods for tinctures but I know a lot of people make if from green dragon. A lot of it depends on what you are using it for. For my wife and one of her friends I use MCT instead of EC. That is a different game. It's almost tasteless and there is no green. It's not a real tincture because it's not made with alcolol. I just infuse MCT like coconut oil. It's good for people that don't like alcolol. That tincture is made with 1/2 oz of decarbed bud to (for these two old ladys) one pint of MCT. All you have to do is strain it. They take 1/2 dropper and sleep. Keep the rest in the frige.

Yes! It helps a lot, thank you. I found a couple of YouTube videos on the subject, so I got the general idea, but your explanation actually helped me a lot more.
I used between 30-40g from a decent strain I grew last year, about 16-18% THC. I’m making gummies for a friend and he requested strong gummies. I’m thinking this should do the trick.
