Sprouting In Soil

Been using paper and it has been a toss up if they will sprout.

I do regular Gardening and with Okra I just soak the seed overnight and plant.

I'm considering doing the same with Marijuana?

Well I have 3 out of 5 sprout using Paper Towel . I'm thinking do just as good in soil.
We used to do this method as well, I found that sometimes I handle them too rough and break the tap root or something. We now soak the root riot cube in water, mosquito bits, and some wetable mycos and then put the seed right in.

It can be scary if a person hasn't done it before especially with expensive seeds. Once you gain experience doing it you will likely never go back to the paper towel method. I'm not sure that there are any growers on riu that switched back to paper towel after gaining confidence in going straight to soil.

I've never been confident enough to do the paper towel method... Keeping it moist and then trusting myself with the delicate sprout? Nah. Seed in medium is so much easier.

I still use both methods just whatever suits at the time, both methods have their pro and cons, with soaking you know what you're starting with there's no guessing/waiting and wasting time that could've been spent on other/new seeds.

Recently did both paper towel method and direct soil method. After paper towel girls germinated I put ‘em in pots. 2 weeks later all seedlings are at the same stage.
