oh well. The most recent polls show no real motion ascribable to de Sanitary Napkin’s stunt. The GOP has been extremely suck-cessful in getting its voters to ignore news that could affect their loyalties.
Hey, grab them by the pussy, abortion and J6 doesn't move them, this won't either.

Yet, the U.S. has the cheapest gas anywhere in the world.
As if the republicans had a plan, or any plans other the gaining and holding power by any means possible and that includes using the power of the state against the opposition when they can. They will abuse any power or authority they have to do this and will impeach Biden over nothing in the house. I strongly suspect MaCarthy will visit Trump in prison for his "wise counsel" and of course support as house speaker. I wouldn't even put a government shutdown past them, unless Biden commutes Trump's sentence, it's not like the people who vote for them would care and those that did, would blame the democrats. When facts don't matter to them you can do anything you want to them, like many Russians, at least those who haven't left or are trying to.

The Republicans in the debate are leaning HARD on their bullshit narrative that whoever they are running against is somehow for unlimited term abortions. Like it is really a thing, and using it to deflect from their willingness to allow women to be put in very dangerous situations due to a fetus no longer being viable. They keep trying to force the Democrats to discuss abortion on their terms.

Lying and dissembling are not a bug for them, it is a feature. We will see what happens if they win the house, the moderates from blue states might split with the maga extremists over government shutdowns, abortion and Ukraine. Having some power could be the thing that destroys them, without Trump to unite them in hate, things might change. The cause of Ukraine is popular among the base as well as the politicans in many quarters and they dare not touch abortion moving forward. If the maga lunatics push it and impeaching Biden for nothing might be among them, they could have trouble, because if they win it might only be by a seat or two. If it's only a seat in the right state, Joe could pick them off with a juicy government appointment or job and the democratic governor would appoint a replacement. I don't think the republicans will take the senate and I think the democrats might pick up a couple of seats or more there.

Pass the independent special counsel law during the lame duck, Garland appoints them and let them go after all 140 republicans who voted to delay certification and make their life Hell with public hearings until 2024 while perhaps jailing many for a variety of crimes. Garland appoints the special prosecutor, so good luck with the GOP using it against the democrats or for any illegitimate purpose if they win. Keep them busy fighting for their fucking lives, if Garland is gonna be on the Hill testifying all the time, they will be in front of the independent special counsel in public under oath.

We will see. I don't think Garland will be going after them for that though. There is so much that is unraveling for them that I don't doubt you are right about them trying to impeach him along with Biden though. Just to make a spectacle for their cult.

Ultimately, the lies are chaff thrown to obscure the core crimes against the US, I doubt Garland will get distracted by such things, he has a lot of experience in staying focused. Once the core crimes are proven beyond a doubt, the constellation of lesser crimes can be dealt with - likely as mitigating circumstances justifying harsher sentences.

I can’t guess your meaning in the above: the bolded portion is unclear enough to spoil your point.

Can you say the same thing in a different way, please?

If the republicans win the house they will investigate the investigators with kangaroo hearings, they abused the process plenty in the past. It is why the independent special counsel law was dropped, that was your main protection against political crimes like this, Garland will be subpoenaed constantly as they try to reveal and stop federal investigations and obstruct justice. There are plenty of examples of who you're dealing with, and they go back decades. These people abuse their prerogatives for political purposes, from phony investigations to the way they appoint SCOTUS justices. The best predictor of future performance is past behavior, and the GOP recently went completely off the rails.

Okay, but WHY would Garland be constantly subpoenaed? How do you think this works?

For no reason or for any reason, it's all political theater, because judges hear cases if there any to be made and jury's convict. Impeaching Garland is like impeaching Biden, a political act, not a legal one, the same for congressional investigations when abused. I haven't seen the democrats abuse the system, but I've seen the republicans abuse it plenty and to the point of crippling the fixes put in place after Nixon to protect democracy. Garland would be a difficult person for them to deal with, he has the possibility of a November loss in mind and proceeds with caution anyway. All they need is a majority of the committee for a subpoena and a majority of the house to hold him in contempt. Obama's AG Holder defied one such a subpoena I believe.
