Elons Little Plan

the one strong thing is SpaceX. But Shartsip still has not flown. If Twitter folds like a cheap card table, the rest of it could get dragged under, depending on how badly he has robbed Peter to pay Paul.
if he's anything like most venture capitolists, he spends money he only has in theory, but in reality is tied up in real estate and equipment that cannot be readily liquidated. if too much comes due at the same time, he could end up having to sell what he can get rid on short notice, and losing the rest to creditors and investors.

And when he needs a few hundred grand, he can just take out a low interest loan on his loot and pay it off later for virtually nothing.

Being rich is such a scam lol.

i can't wait to see his draconian response to this...i'd guess banning accounts while not fixing the problem, so the banned accounts will be back the next day with the same or a similar name..."i'm a technologist, i can make technology go really fast"...into the nearest wall
Self-driving isn't gonna work for Twitter! It's becoming a circus and Elon is the clown. A great opportunity for an aspiring tech company to clone it and start stealing eyeballs with cross posts from celebrities and journalists by imposing standards, controlling bots, spam, bullshit and trolls. They could do it for a fraction of what Elon paid for Twitter and with many of Elon's old staff, a couple of billion would get it off the ground and half of that would be spent on marketing. Cross posting to Twitter accounts by your users would finish Elon pretty quick if the platform was good enough. In Chinese the symbol for problem mirrored means opportunity.

why would any sane wealthy person want to subject themselves to owning a chat platform? the income can't even come close to being worth the enormous pain in the dick.
you have to moderate your forums, which means you're going to piss off at least a third of your potential users, which means you'll be open to stupid frivolous lawsuits. you have to deal with the government imposing standards, and inspecting your business practices.
you either have to remain silent on your own platform, or be branded by half of them as an asshole, or worse...
you have to hire people who are actually competent to do their jobs, and who will be able to write algorithms that actually do what they're supposed to do.
you have to do all of that, while being careful not to say anything that might be inflammatory, or even misconstrued as inflammatory...
exactly what kind of fucking moron would willing take on a job like that?

that’s what happens when you fire half the talent, and the other half walks.
When I left my sales job in 2010 after 10 years I broke the team. I knew I would having the largest quota..most months 10-12 units while the others were 5-6. I gave them 90-day notice, the best offer I received was a desk by the window.

My manager never made Presidential Circle again..she left to go back to Amex (she was in line to take the State of Florida from her boss when he got promoted but he was termed) and the team basically dismantled itself thereafter.

It's pretty amazing what effect a senior employee can have on the whole. My leaving literally upset the Florida hierarchy.

Whether they do or don't I could care less. For me? I doubt I will ever buy another car or house. I pay cash for everything and like it that way. It's responsible. I live within my budget. Since Social Security took so long and I had no money many times which was a departure from my $80-100k while working. I paid cash then and learned to live like a miser when I had to. If I can't pay for it, then I wait until I can. It's more satisfying.

Texas Trump judge though I believe; it won't stand imo.

He doesn't have a purpose other than hiring talent to do his bidding- on his own, what does he bring to the table?
