Yeah, I'm seriously thinking about it, but with all the Christmas shopping, I don't have much green left :) I'm very psyched these turned out to both be females, though. Since, they're pretty short and bushy at this stage, by the time flowering ends, I think I may get some nice size buds. Of course, you're right, an HPS would really help.

I'm thrilled with my AG Deluxe so far. It's been so damn easy. It seems a lot of people bash the AG, but if I wind up with a nice personal stash, I'm happy as hell. That's the only reason I'm doing this, anyway.

BTW, how is your Purple Kush coming along? I think you were doing Purple Kush, if I remember correctly.

Im doing Purple Haze .. The aerogarden will produce buds ,, but they will be light and airy.. Trust me bro .. Take $100.00 and get a HPS your buds will get nice and big , and dense .hard as a rock.. The aerogarden CFL's just wont do it even with extra cfl's..

Ive done 4 grows to try and get dense buds from CFL's .. It wont happen

The Cfl's are cool for vegging .. But trust me .. I thought I could do it . I did not listen to those before me .. Its not worth the time and money that you put into a grow to Flower your plants with CFL's to get substandard buds . where if you invest another $100.00 You can have PRIME BUDS and still use the aerogarden base ...

The Smaller hps lights heat is easy to control

Vette, how many watt HPS do you think I should get? Also, I'm growing in a Homebox XS. Will an HPS make this small space way too hot?

Im not sure .. I would stay under 250 to be sure .. Add a few small fans with air going in and air going out .. ..Your a smart guy .. You'll have to look at your system and make it work.. I have faith you can.. Just always place your hand on the top of your plants .. If the light burns the back of your hand it will cook the plants so you raise it till it dont burn

Gotcha! Thank you very much. I'm stopping by a Hydro store this weekend. I'd like to see what their prices are like.

The cool thing is, my landlord goes away Dec 17th until about Mid-May. This makes me happy.

One funny thing is, I think I'm allergic to my plants. I've been sneezing like crazy since I started and my eyes are so damn itchy. Well worth it, though. :)

I will certainly keep you posted. Unfortunately, tomorrow is going to be very chilly (in the 30s). I like cold weather around Christmas. :)

I will be posting some new pics later tonight, but in the meantime, I just wanted to give a brief update. My 2 plants are definitely flowering now, and I bought a couple of more soft white 35w CFLs, plus I bought the Recipe For Success Starter Kit (Nutes).

My plants are extremely bushy right now and one plant is definitely flowering quicker than the other. Again, I will post pics tonight.

I'm well aware that an HPS light will give me much better results, but for my first grow, I plan to see this all the way through with CFLs. After this grow, I plan on investing in a 400w HPS Bubbleponics Kit, or something similar.
