I remember in 73 living in Hawaii after getting out of the military and hitchhiking cross country ended up in the islands house sitting for a friend. He asked me to watch over his crop and took me outside behind his house to show the girls to me. So I'm standing next to him and was looking around for his plants. He said, now don't let anything happen to them then turned around and started to walk back inside the house. I stopped him and said, well where are your plants? He started laughing, your standing in the middle of them! I was standing in a forest of trees, 14 to 16 foot high trees covered in sweet smelling buds. My first encounter with Wowie Maui!! Oh that spicy, earthy tropical grown sweetness having the kick of a thoroughbred. Us old timers still kicking have plenty of grows and stories to go along with them...Happy Grow Year!!

Oh those early 70's.....wild in the streets , no shoes, long hair..........everybar was cooking 24-7 , pool halls , strip clubs., the music and on and f'ing on. We caught one Hell of a wave ! Things are so sterile now...night and day. I'm afraid are " Wild West " days are over. Good timing , don't think I could roll like that anymore.......
That f'ing fast lane ,

I ate 8 peyote buttons one time- 5 dried and 3 fresh
most i was ever able to manage was 5. those were fresh. talked to a lot of weird people that night.
my cousin from Arizona gave me a big maxwell house coffee can of peyote buttons when i was a kid, and i gave him a paper lunch bag full of weed.
there were 63 buttons in that can, about the size of a quarter on average...took me 4 years to eat all that, took me 6 months to work up the nerve again after the first time.
they weren't nearly as intense after the first year, but even the last ones still gave me vivid...insight? :o

Well I turned 65 the end of November so now I'm on Medicare and gonna start drawing my social security
Smoked my first joint in '71 when I was 15. Always had a comfortable relationship with it, but no one I ever knew grew. Living in NYC, I was stuck with the varying quality of street bud amidst some epic dry spells until 2019, when I drove to Massachusetts to check out a few recreational dispensaries. It was like going to Disney Land...but the price!! I mean, holy shit - $526 for one ounce? That'd run about $6K a year, LoL. Today, it's still $45-$60 for an 8th of flower up there and that's the reason I started to grow my own.

My first time was with a Coke can with Chronic in 1986. I was instantly in love with that skunky goodness. I didn't even know what shwag was back then. That was in the PNW though. Shrooms grow wild all over there too, especially in spring and fall.

Mid 80’s I put an eight of really good
mushrooms in a milkshake- puked a couple hours later-
Tripped balls all night and my roommate was fucking with me cranking King Crimson- never forget it- been to around 20 Grateful Dead shows - that’s another story ☮
