Not relevant to the gulf shimps ( even though i can make a bad batch ) but my grand father who passed away 7 years from now used to cure hicupps.
He learned it from a Native American, you were asked to hold your breath, exhale take in a big breath then exhale one last time all while he would massage your temples in clockwise and couter clock wise motion.
on the last exhale he would say to look up while you exhaled and say”look there goes the hiccups”..
I think I’ve already mentioned this on this thread just want to know if any of you old farts know anything about it.
always asked him ti teach me before he passed but always said latter..

Psychosomatic conclusion. Mind over matter.

Michigan raised. Not of spice obsession endured by a few of us. Red Lobster and Long John 's prior to career callings. 013.jpg

I'm in, and then some. Starting the 4th quarter of my own little game in November. Trying to make the best and most of each day, since the last few years of said quarter statistically look to be not good ones. Alas, transporter technology hasn't arrived soon enough to save me.

So, I don't use any prescription drugs at all, my Medicare Part D was about $20 a month. Been reading that part D should be decreasing in premium payments next year, got notice today mine will go from $20.30 to $64.90...I mean holy shit! At least this one is pretty easy to switch. I hate to see
what my supplemental will be.

One thing I didn't fully understand or appreciate in years pre-retirement and probably could have handled better in hind sight was the tax implication that RMD's had on AGI coupled with SS benefit and other income sources. The very real potential exists to boost you into another tax category and/or subject your SS income to the 85% of taxation level. My self education was lacking and might have benefited by talking with an astute financial advisor in years past. :(
