Hey conor is there a bunch of different Phenos with the skunk special? I'm just asking because I've grown the purple moroc 3 times outdoors and got 3 different phenos.

Theres some variety but not loads its stable that way it varies mainly in how much they want fed some want more some want less it isnt the most sexually stable strain is the only downside of it but it is some early skunk not as worked vs later gens it yields plenty too personally i wish they offered reg seeds but it is what it is i nothing against fems made right i just prefer having options and stuff

I grabbed a few peak seeds skunkberry before they closed?

No not stank skunk but more berries that a skunk ate and shit out,
kinda funk.
Very rigorous and nothing phases them.

In MY opinion, having grown up in the 70's and having had the real skunk weed more than a few time, I can say unequivocally, that the skunk was from Mexico. People will say no it's an Afghani strain. However, at that time in the upper midwest, no one was getting anything from Afghanistan. 99% of our weed came from Mexico. Most of the time, it was ditchweed. SOMETIMES, it was skunk. And like some people have already said, you couldn't hide the smell of it. It was that skunky.

So, yeah, maybe there were some Afghani strains that were skunky, too, but ours always came from Mexico. And it was random. The shit was bailed up in garbage bags and duct tape and it was always a "surprise" when we cut them open. I believe it's still in Mexico....somewhere.

If it IS a nutrient thing, then I'd start experimenting with any Mexican strains, first, to see if excessive Nitrogen or whatever might make a difference. You gotta go back to the landrace strains, in my opinion....lower THC or not.....lower yielding or not...pest resistant or not.

Ive never had a pure mexi that was skunky i mean hybrids sure yeah but they do say in the description its meant to be loud i never tryed it tho and idk anyone who has yet kinda hard to find many grows of it too online so far

i don't think it's a strain with a desciption like at seed bank. even in the nineties we got proper skunk from mexico, different types too...who knows what they were though...the people growing it probably didn't have a clue. none of it was like shoreline, but still very skunked, hardly ever sweet. some piss or ammonia occasionally and some dead skunk more rarely. funny thing is lots of bud smells like skunk from a distance or to the untrained nose. smells are based on chemical presence and concentration. even ecig juices work like that. if you pull up to walmart in trinidad you will smell the high skunk of cannaco.

Agree. I’m from the border and grew up on Mexican. First thing I noticed with skunk was the seeds were different.

Its out there. A couple of guys pulled up to me at a red light not to long ago while smoking. Smell nearly knocked me out. I looked over at them and we all laughed. I gave them the thumbs up and they back to me and went on our way. its definitely still out there.
