How Will the Russian Army Be Funded in 2023?

Putin's Russia is staying afloat despite the onslaught of Western sanctions. The ban on the export of key technologies to Russia has meant that it has had to reinvent its economic and productive fabric. Now, in the midst of its invasion of Ukraine, it is seeking to strengthen itself militarily in the hope of achieving its goal in the invaded country.

By dodging sanctions, increasing the national defense budget and investing in the arms industry, Russia seems to have managed to adapt to its new reality. Even IMF projections place it among the nations with economic growth, albeit modest. But is there a catch to this growth?

Where will it get the money to sustain its war efforts? To what extent will more defense spending lead to a better military? Can it solve its endemic problems? In this video we tell you.

That's the video I just saw on CTV News Edmonton where you can see the damage to the prop after the video goes out for a few seconds. Also said the drone was directed to ditch after wiping out sensitive data. Nothing a nice bomb with a proximity fuse onboard couldn't have fixed. ;)

instead of overmuch explosive, a few gallons of blue&yellow paint with a burst charge would be kinda cool, especially when ingested into the engines of the impolite MiG or Sukhoi.

As long as it coats the windscreen so the pilot has to practise his instrument only landing procedure when he gets back to base.

I guess if they did blow up anything that got too close then the Rooshins would start shooting them down leading the US to arm the damn things and the next thing you know NATO is in there finishing the job.

Too bad the jet wasn't damaged and forced to ditch too. Might have made them think twice before pulling a stunt like that again but probably not.

From what I’ve read, the hotshot in the fighter’s cockpit probably used an empty weapon pylon to engage the propeller. Unlikely to upset the attacking aircraft, and the accusingly chewed part can be changed out in minutes on the ground.

I can understand the temptation to load the drone(s) with explosives. However the video of the fighters taking a pee on the drone are pretty hard to explain away as anything other than aggression. If this becomes a pattern, I’d imagine we would start sending some toothy escort with eagle eyes and brass balls onboard.

ICC issues arrest warrant for Putin over alleged war crime of ‘unlawful’ deportation of Ukrainian children
The International Criminal Court on Friday issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and another Russian official involving allegations of war crimes around the unlawful deportation of children from Ukraine to Russia.

The arrest warrant likely marks one of the first charges against Putin for war crimes in Ukraine, part of a global effort to hold the Russian president and the Russian Federation accountable for atrocities beginning with the full-scale February invasion.

An arrest warrant was also issued for Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, who the ICC alleges “bears individual criminal responsibility” for the forced deportation of Ukrainian children from Russian-occupied territory to Russia.

Zakharova commented on the decision of the court in The Hague on the "arrest" of Putin
Decisions of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague do not matter for Russia , Moscow does not recognize them. This was announced on Friday, March 17, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in her Telegram channel.

“Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and does not bear obligations under it,” the diplomat said. According to her, the decisions of the ICC do not matter to Moscow, including from a legal point of view.

Zakharova also stated that "recipes" for arrest coming from the International Court of Justice would be null and void for Russia from a legal point of view.

Thus, the diplomat commented on the issuance by the court of a warrant for the "arrest" of Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the presidential commissioner for children's rights, Maria Lvova-Belova. It was clarified that the ICC made this decision in connection with the situation in Ukraine .

Earlier, the ICC has already announced its intention to open two criminal cases against Russia on charges of committing war crimes in Ukraine. Moscow has repeatedly denied the accusations and called them false. President Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov , in turn, said that Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.

Sverdlovsk veteran urged Russian fighters not to lift the toilet lid in the NVO zone
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are using vile methods of fighting against the fighters of the Russian army. One of the favorite methods of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the mining of houses, or rather, latrines. Anatoly, a veteran of military operations in Chechnya, from Alapaevsk (Sverdlovsk region), told the URA.RU journalist about this.

“When cleaning up the territories, you can find a seemingly surviving house. A soldier, unaware of anything, may want to use the restroom, but this is not allowed. Any closed door is inviolable, as it can be mined. Nothing can be touched. Everything can be mined. It is important. To the extent that you can not lift the toilet lid. It is important to comply with these measures,” Anatoly said.

Earlier, URA.RU wrote that a veteran of the Chechen war warned the NVO soldiers against excessive heroism . According to him, such people commit actions that entail sad consequences. In addition, the veteran advised the Russian fighters to refrain from smoking in the NVO zone . This measure, in his opinion, will allow the fighters not to be detected by enemies. Also, the Sverdlovsk veteran recommended that Russian soldiers carefully monitor hygiene during a special operation. Hygiene will allow the fighters not to infect the infection, which can later cause sepsis and gangrene. In addition to all this, he urged the fighters not to touch cats and dogs in the NWO zone , as they could be mined.

Poland will place the HIMARS MLRS near the Russian border
Poland has decided to place American HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems on the border with Russia. This was announced by the Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak.

“As early as this year, the 16th mechanized division, which is located near the border with the Kaliningrad region, will receive American HIMARS,” Blaschak said RIA Novosti. He added that earlier the US Congress approved the Polish application for the supply of 500 HIMARS launchers.
