No, not nearly as many, look at Australia. They smuggle them in by drone, but that is being addressed by several means. More guns in America mean more guns in Canada and Mexico, all the people murdered there are murdered with smuggled American guns, drugs one way and cash and weapons the other. One reason why I have an interest in American gun control, other than certain things like basic human rights and the struggle for liberal democracy, I try to stay out of American domestic affairs, not my business, guns in America are though since it afflicts and affects me. I mean I comment on the news and events, since we share the same media and TV networks, but I'm clear about who I am and where I'm from.

Huh!!! LOL.

My youngest (now in college) had a nightmare after his second grade class participated in an active shooter drill. Those things are traumatizing for young ones. I contacted the school and arranged to get him in to see a counselor. But these were young adults, 17 and 18 YO. The teacher gave a good reason for why he did it.

“I don’t think I did anything incorrectly,” Keene said. “I know hindsight is 20/20 but I honestly didn’t think a 16-, 17-, 18-year-old would be offended or upset by talking about something we’re already talking about.”

I mean, they were going to have that drill. They were going to practice what to do in case of an active shooter. It's not as if those kids were being sheltered from the real world in that regard. As a father, I was outraged that seven year old was traumatized by that drill but much more outraged that our society has to mandate those drills. Much more outraged at our gun culture. The school's principal and the student's parents are reacting to the wrong thing.
They still have them, it's very common, but no less fucked up.

Once again though, you can just look at this thread to see why it won't get better and no progress gets made. The conversation is broken and pointless. Fuck those assholes.

Their behavior has changed my view, can't say I am in the pro gun crowd anymore, though my views never aligned with them.

I cover the news and guns in particular, I have no interest in VP picks and such and wouldn't have much to say about the republicans, if they didn't turn fascist and that is a real and present danger. I have a Canadian thread, but other than me it doesn't get used much. Guns are being smuggled with drones these days right over the river and the ones who murdered 22 Nova Scotians came from the nuthouse down south, smuggled in because the wingnut couldn't own them in Canada. So yeah, I have something to say about guns to Americans, Trump and the fascist assholes trying to run the place too. Abortion is a basic human rights issue, like kids in cages, or the war in Ukraine, most domestic issues that don't concern human rights and fascism I don't bother with. Anything that makes the news is fair game and we do share a TV living room.

If Russia can play with America's asshole, I can play with its assholes.

no, I didn't.

BTW, the AR-15 will soon be replaced by a much more powerful and deadly military style weapon.
Of course it will, prob be called something super macho, testosterone dripping,"The Eliminator",when did anger, unacceptance, rejection turn from yelling or pounding the ground to exhaustion or lighting the fire of motivation for changing or making self corrections to alter one's fate or circumstances to crossing the threshold in which executing humanbeings then eating a round or dying by cop became a weekly occurence and a uniquely American phenomenon?

That's actually not what it's called.

I actully didn't think it i'd be called that,,butwhat could be the motivation for making a deadlier assault rifle than what exists now,the cavitation inside the body is absolutely gruesome, the sole purpose being to make surgeons sbend 4-5 times more time trying to repair the damage in a war time setting.

To shoot a deadlier bullet in war that more easily defeats armor.... It's basically an AR10 that's piston driven, I think.

because...anyone fucking cares.
An 8-thousand-dollar gun has to have a cool name!

There sure looks like a lot of profit in something that probably costs a few hundred bucks to produce in quantity and they are making them for the army as well as morons. I can see the marketing incentive and republican politicians are cheap and easy to buy, most are preowned, like a used car.

So, what is the situation in America:
Foxnews kills American citizens for profit.
Gun makers kill American citizens for profit.

Wanna make a buck killing Americans? Your choice is obvious, the party without principles, the GOP. Thank you for calling the RNC lobbying line, please stay on the line and the next available grifter will take your call.

Sounds like a plan alright!

I'm sure you'll just be able to buy a barrel chambered in the new round and use it in basically any modern rifle. All for a lot less than 8k.
You could also probably neck down a 308, plug in a 6.8mm bullet and it'd do really well for hunting.

In war the vast number of casualties are caused by artillery, even in Ukraine, small arms account for few casualties in Comparision. It is called the God of war for a reason. That why the federal government has the power to regulate arms, like guns and the second only mentions arms, not guns, all arms, even swords. If it didn't morons in Texas would be having M777s parked in their driveways for home defense, or an RPG by the door.

I am very very familiar with artillery and I'm well aware of the pink mist we cause.
For a $200 tax stamp you can buy an artillery piece. It'd probably be hard to find someone to sell you an M777 or any of its variants.
Same with RPG's.
