TRUMP CONVICTED

how do you know that? the republican party has been plotting and scheming at least since the late 1940s, and they haven't had mass incidents of them turning traitor or selling each other out.
They're powerful people, in positions of authority, whether they belong there or not, and they're all at least loosely organized by the same central authority...I think it may prove MUCH harder to get them to sell out than you seem to think it will be, although I'm sure there will be at least a few.
I'm expecting much more damning evidence to come from the non aligned drones that all entitled wealthy assholes seem to keep around to reinforce their false sense of superiority, maids, aids, gophers and lackeys, drivers....They treat these people like they aren't there, and like they can't understand what is said around them. The entitled rich seem to assume the people they use and shit on have some kind of loyalty to them...
This article suggests Roger Stone is the link between Trump and Proud Boys. Doesn't come out and say it in so many words but reading between the lines, it's pretty clear that the reporters are showing that Stone was in deep with both Trump and Proud Boys and a conspiracy between Enrique Tarrio, Stone and Trump was afoot to steal the election before we even held it. Proud Boys were close to Stone. They even traveled with Stone when he attended rallies in Portland in March 2018 and were with him at the Green Room at Fox headquarters where he talked with Tucker Carlson. they were also security for Stone at the Stop the Steal rally in Dec. 2020

The vid below is from the House Select Committee to Investigate the Attack on the Capitol Building. It starts at the an introduction from Zoe Loughran and shows Stone discussing what they will do if Trump loses the election. This was planned ahead of the election, not just something that they did in response to a Trump loss.

My guess is Stone is the next rung on the ladder to Trump. It should not surprise if one of those PB facing life in prison after all of the charges are added together will start singing like a caged canary.

Hmm, Roger Stone's Oath Keeper-Bodyguard turned federal witness on March 2, 2022 after pleading guilty to seditious conspiracy.

Prosecutors allege that prior to the riots, James served as security at the “Stop the Steal” rally in D.C. At least one photo also shows him wearing an Oath Keeper patch the day before and the day of the insurrection. Court documents filed by federal prosecutors have also previously indicated that James previously served as Stone’s bodyguard. Stone has not been charged in connection with the riots, though he has been subpoenaed by the House committee investigating the criminal fiasco.

This week, NYPD officer Salvatore Greco is facing a department trial for his alleged role as unpaid security for Stone alongside James, who was set to submit a recorded statement in that case.

“Joshua James told us how he and Sal Greco worked security for Stone on Jan. 5 and 6,” NYPD prosecutor Samuel Yee told Assistant Deputy Trials Commissioner Paul Gamble, according to the New York Daily News.

A documentary has been released by a film crew that Roger Stone agreed to let follow him and document his activities in the years leading up to and including the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol Building. The Jan 6 committee reviewed their footage and used some of it during their hearings. Probably Jack Smith will use it too. We've seen some of that footage in posts on this forum. The following link contains a summary and review of that documentary.

New Documentary on Trump Operative Roger Stone Is a Damning Political Thriller
Christoffer Guldbrandsen’s “A Storm Foretold” ends with the Trump adviser expecting arrest for his role in January 6.

By Francis Brodsky , TRUTHOUT PublishedApril 23, 2023

The new documentary about Roger Stone, A Storm Foretold, anticipated since its Danish director Christoffer Guldbrandsen received a subpoena last year from the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, finally had its world premiere at CPH:DOX in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Footage from the production, during which Stone allowed the filmmakers access to many of his private conversations, was examined by congressional investigators and included as evidence in the committee’s final report. The film thus had the unusual privilege of being established as an important piece of the historical record before it was even completed. The final edit is a captivating view into three years of machinations by the well-connected crook who collaborated with neofascist militia leaders while in communication with President Donald Trump during the crucial period before, during and after the 2020 election, right through the events of January 6, 2021.

-----

The full accounting of criminal responsibility for January 6 is still in process. A verdict for the Proud Boys leaders — including Stone associates Enrique Tarrio, Joseph Biggs and Ethan Nordean — is expected in the coming weeks. Convictions of these men for sedition would bring the criminal conspiracy a “Stone’s throw” from Trump and could make it more likely that special counsel Jack Smith, who is leading the investigation into Trump’s role in January 6, will end his investigation with similar charges — treason, essentially. To date, neither the former president nor anyone in his inner orbit has been charged with related crimes.

Did Trump coordinate with armed militias to prevent the certification of the electoral vote at the U.S. Capitol on January 6? Was there a shared goal to overturn the election on that day in order to extend Trump’s time in office, using force if necessary? And if so, how exactly did such coordination take place?

The answers to these questions almost certainly involve Roger Stone. The January 6 committee report describes Stone as a “nexus character” in the “Stop the Steal” coalition to overturn Joe Biden’s victory — a slogan Stone coined in 2016 and then, with the help of his protegé, far right activist Ali Alexander, relaunched in 2020.

The tag line is at the very end:

As the clock winds down on the Trump presidency and Biden’s inauguration approaches, we watch Stone seethe uncontrollably at being refused a second, preemptive pardon. He expects to be arrested by the FBI. This time, his face twitching awkwardly in anger and fear, he appears to understand that without Trump’s protection, lengthy incarceration may be unavoidable — the jig may finally be up. The only consolation he gives himself while waiting in vain for another last-minute legal rescue suggests a more complex and insecure human being hiding behind the brash persona: “At least I won’t be out there alone this time.”

Is allowing yourself to be filmed while planning an insurrection massive stupidity? Or massive hubris? Both, i think.
I make jokes about stone looking like the Penguin, but he seems to have thought that he was a supervillain, untouchable...i think he's come to the realization that that is not the case.

He has until 5:00 today to file a motion with the court if he intends to testify.
I predict he will come back and fire his lawyer in hopes of delaying the trial and the inevitable verdict.
If he fires tacopenis, the judge should immediately appoint a random public defender and finish the trial on schedule...no more letting trump set the schedule.

Massive hubris is behind all of these schemers from Trump to Stone, Gaetz, MTG, Alex Jones, Tarrio, Stewart Rhodes, the people who attacked on Jan 6. All of them. Seems as if they were full of a belief that might makes right. But Stone, having a documentary crew at his side throughout it all tells me that he planned on being pardoned after he helped Trump. What I don't understand is why people let him come anywhere near them with that crew in tow. There was a meeting between the kingpins in a parking lot that the film crew managed to document. It was used as evidence against the now convicted seditionists.

Stone creeps me out because he's so blatant abut what he does and it's clear that he has people in power protecting him. And you are right about him having a face that should only be possible in a movie with a staff that creates a face like that.

Just proves the adage. At 20 you have the face God gave you, at 40 you have the face that life has molded, and at 60 you have the face you deserve.

I believe there were over 6 different documentary teams following the various players while they tried to stage a coup. WTF does that! Pathological levels of narcissism it looks to me and that is the fuel of hubris, a bonfire of the vanities.

I think it was because these idiots thought they were going to win then they would have the documentaries as proof of their greatness.

I also think it's proof that having money and power does not endow one with intelligence. A great many examples of this emerging as the various investigations dig deeper into the piles of crap these morons have left behind.

For sure it was motivation, if Trump had won, these are the people who would be running homeland security and the videos would have gotten them their choice of jobs in a variety of government departments like the DOJ and the DOD. They would be running the FBI one way or another. Enrico Tarrio and Steward Rhodes would have been big time federal government officials confirmed by the senate, or appointed in spite of the senate which would have been just ignored until they were shot. Those capitol police would have been charged with treason for daring to resist President Trump and a lot of people would just end up dead or not heard from again.

Most of those involved will probably get away with it, but they would have murdered their political enemies without a second thought. Trump's vengeance would know no end and he would be signing executive orders to execute people with Clarence Thomas cosigning it, for a price. Nobody in the federal government would stop him either his cabinet would be as bad as him and none of them would be confirmed by the senate, I mean what are they going to do? Impeach him?

Trump misses deadline to testify in E. Jean Carroll civil case
Former President Trump will not testify at his civil trial centered around a rape allegation by writer E. Jean Carroll after his lawyers did not meet a judge-mandated deadline on Sunday to request that he testify.

Trump’s legal team previously insisted he would not testify or show up to the proceedings, even after the former president said in Ireland last week he would “probably attend” the trial, claiming he was leaving the country early to do so.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Caplan, presiding over the case in New York, gave Trump’s legal team one final chance for Trump to attend, handing down a 5 p.m. deadline on Sunday for the former president to decide whether to testify in his own defense.

The decision by Trump not to testify means his defense team will call no witnesses in the case. Carroll is suing Trump for battery and defamation after he has publicly denied an allegation from Carroll that he raped her in a New York department store in the 1990s. He claimed she made the allegations up in order to sell books.

Kaplan last week said if Trump did not appeal to the court to allow him to testify by the deadline on Sunday, “That ship will be irrevocably sailed.”

“If he has second thoughts, I’ll at least consider it,” Kaplan said at the time.

With the decision of the former president not to testify, lawyers are expected to make closing arguments in the case on Monday.

Carroll’s legal team called a number of witnesses in the case, including a longtime friend of the writer who claimed that Carroll called her in the minutes after the alleged attack, urging her friend to go to the police.

Trump ad paints former president as political outsider amid legal woes: ‘Embrace that label’
A new ad by former President Trump paints the former president as a political outsider against the litany of legal woes he faces as well as his impeachments by Congress.

“Following your convictions means you must be willing to face criticism from those who lack the same courage,” Trump’s voice says in the video over clips of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, New York Attorney General Letitia James and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.).

“Relish the opportunity to be an outsider. Embrace that label,” Trump says in the video, paid for by the Make America Great Again, Inc.
The video opens with voice-overs of news clips about Trump’s troubles, from his 2020 impeachment to the House select committee’s investigation of Jan. 6. The panel ultimately referred the matter to the Justice Department, which is also investigating Trump for potentially mishandling classified documents.

“Remember this, nothing worth doing ever, ever, ever came easy,” Trump says in the video over clips of his younger self and then his descending down the Trump Tower escalator before announcing his 2016 bid.

The former president, who lost his 2020 reelection, entered the 2024 race for the White House after the midterms last year. Recent polling has indicated he’s the Republican frontrunner, though a number of others are already in the ring with others still rumored to join.
President Biden announced his reelection bid last month, setting 2024 up to potentially be a rematch of the sitting and former presidents.

Whelp, here we go, final arguments are done and Jury begins deliberations today or tomorrow.

This doesn't look good for Trump.

Trump news - live: E Jean Carroll trial told Trump is ‘witness against himself’ in closing arguments

“In a very real sense, Trump is a witness against himself,” the attorney said about Mr Trump’s video deposition.

Meanwhile, Mr Trump missed his last chance to testify in the trial.

During his deposition Trump didn't even try to walk away from what he said on the Access Hollywood vid. that the jury saw. In his deposition, he agreed that he was a star and agreed that stars have always done what they want. Even just start "kissing them" and grab them by the pussy.

It does look bad for trump, but i don't think he cares, i think he's already been priming his base to expect a conviction, and will play it off to them as persecution. He has it in his head that his base is large enough to carry him through the general election in 24...He is obviously severely mistaken, the numbers just don't ad up for them, the republicans have been alienating independents for a while now, and 65 to 70 % will vote for anyone other than a republican.

He will be in prison convicted of federal crimes before election day and there are around 547 days until then and he or Jack can't stretch out the documents and obstruction investigations out much longer.

One wonders what ever happened to the obstruction of justice indictments and other charges that Mueller recommended that were sitting on Garland's desk since the day he took office... Of course, politics is involved in this and nothing illegal is being done, timing is everything.

I don't see it..at the rate they're moving, it will be at LEAST 2025 before any federal indictments come down...they seem to be investigating every fucking republican in the country and interviewing everyone who has ever been within 50 feet of trump, stone, meadows et al.
If they ever put trump on trial, it will probably be posthumously. No joke...By the time they start a trial, no one will remember what the fuck the whole case is about.
So far, the only people to be held accountble are people who are not in office...

We will see soon enough about the MAL docs and obstruction indictments. J6 could take a while and mail and wire fraud could even come before that. Georgia RICCO indictments this summer and the NY trial starting on Dec 04/23. I think we might see a federal trial this year, but it would be even better if it were in 2024, the republican presidential primary season starts in January and Donald is a shoe in for it by the summer convention, however election season doesn't start until September and if the trial is ongoing, they won't suspend it for election season. We can start breaking out the calendars and figuring things out soon enough. It is my guess Trump will win the nomination and end up leaving the republicans high and dry as a convicted felon doing time state and federally and then looking at seditious conspiracy. It is about 600 days before the presidential nomination, just in case he wins the election from his cell.
