Examples of GOP Leadership

The ones breaking into the cars, the moron shooting at them, and the republican pinheads who wrote the ridiculous laws in texas, should be held accountable for manslaughter, at the very least, or would negligent homicide be more appropriate?
Depraved indifference to human life and public order

Failure to maintain weapon control - death resulted from wild fire

Murder in the 2nd degree - engaged in a potentially lethal confrontation & subsequent weapon discharge, showing no regard for the life or welfare of others

People vote republican for three reasons, evil, stupid or ignorant. Evil is the biggest one, their character flaws cause them to make fools of themselves, stupid has been overstated, there are just not that many stupid people and most of them are good natured, that leaves ignorance and that is most often willful ignorance, driven by their character flaws. So, I would say being a republican is most likely caused by fear and hate riding on top of preexisting character flaws. After J6, everything that's happened before and since including the town CNN hall fiasco, I put support for Trump down to evil, there are not that many stupid and ignorant people. They are not victims of disinformation at this point in time, they are willfully ignorant or mealy-mouthed liars. They go through pains to hide their true motives and cannot explain them honestly when challenged. To be a republican is to support and defend everything Trump says and does, and one cannot serve two masters at once, one cannot support the constitution and the rule of law and Trump at the same time. It's a simple fact that they can't get around or avoid.

Putting Trump away too early will give them time to adapt and find another demigod, it won't take Mitch, Karl Rove and the megadonors long to rebrand and put lipstick on the pig. Put him away at the right time and he will rail against the republicans for betraying him and it will throw his hardcore base into confusion. They can't win without the support of Trump's racist hardcore base and if he turns on them, they will stay home on election day. There are 540 days until the election and that gives them too much time to recover from Trump being convicted of a serious crime, one that will put cuffs on him in court upon conviction and that he appeals from inside a cell. Having that happen in the middle of republican primary season would be ideal IMO, all the GOP house candidates would be tied to his tail by then and the base will want to FREE DONALD and they had better be on board!
You left out the brainwashing.
Please don’t ignore that, it’s a MAJOR factor for/in those *still* voting GOOP

Although by this time, all the folds and whorls have been worn off of most their cerebral cortexs, like towels that have been through the washer and dryer 1000 times...

Haven’t you heard? The FBI is corrupt now too.
Some rightwing justices on the SCOTUS appear to be from the evidence I've seen, but as for the DOJ and FBI, they are closing in on Trump. Make no mistake, their real complaint is that Garland has slow walked everything and is sticking them with Trump for 24 and there is nothing they can do about it. They want him to dispose of Trump for them and clear the field for 24, but it looks like Donald will be around for a while longer, even if he is indicted. Will he be around long enough to capture the GOP nomination is the question and would they be stupid enough to nominate him even from a prison cell? Jack can always find some other lead or aspect of the Top-secret documents case to pursue I suppose because that trial won't take long. Indicting him and others for conspiracy in Georgia this summer could see a trial early in 24.

WTF knows with Trump, anybody else would be long gone by now, but it kinda looks like he is being setup to win the GOP nomination only to have the rug pulled out from under him and leaving the GOP high and dry just before the election. The republicans can't complain about the slowness of Trump's investigation and prosecution that's for sure. There will be no cries of LOCK HIM UP from the republicans, so the timing of his downfall is in the democrat's hands, both state and federal. There are 540 days until the election and I can't see Donald avoiding a cage until then, most investigations are complete or close to it.
