I have not experienced flood issues that others have.

Only one plant, in the years I have used them, has died because of the lack of water and that was partly my own doing, the feeder tube for it got crimped, and it was way in the back and I missed the issues for too long.

I love the bluemats and stick by it for my own needs, it works as designed.
Are you in coco or soil?

I have not had any flooding this time, and I think maybe it was from air in the carrots. I have mine feeding RO water and calmag, and then I hand feed them weekly nutes.

I think my 1st run with coco I will try the Blumats with 3 different size pots. Both plastic and cloth.

Soil only at this time.

I use well water. I tried mixing calmag in with the bluemats daily water schedule but have decided to go with calmag on days of hand feed only and Not on free flow H2O days.

Here's the plastic tub I have and I had a few nursery pots, 1.75 gallon they say. Soooo, I could get 10 pots this size. I had thought of maybe doing a flood setup.....or something.

I was and am leery of doing it in my house though, but I think it's fairly safe....so long as I don't have a huge res.

Because hand watering twice a day is a scary thought!!
As.long as your res has no greater volume than your tray you should be golden!
