I had a critter last night tooo...Ate every single one of my sunflower plants...about 25 of them, and 1 cucumber plant....Apparently sunflower seedlings are tasty!!

I never grew them before, and I guess I still can say that.
were the sunflowers full grown?

True - and not very capable extras at that ...

... and so fortunately, we have stopped the production on our sitcom many years ago.
You don't get along with your siblings? My sister and I are pretty tight... I rarely see my brother.

I have never sampled this no doubt estimable dish although I have read of its rustic charm. If by ranch you mean an abominable buttermilk slurry people unaccountably consume I urge you to reconsider everything and go out for crepes and cepes whilst sipping leibfraumilch.

No, just popped seedlings. I had a bunch more but just composted them, lol. Oh well.

Mrs. Starecase and I were just discussing what we wanted to do dinner for tonight. It turned out to be an extremely short discussion. Right from the get-go, Mrs. S suggested "How about Harvey's poutine?"

Done!

And now the tough choice - a Buffalo Chicken or a Chicken Bacon Ranch poutine?

Decisions ... decisions ...
Last night I went and bought rib eyes for the grill, but then stopped at the ice cream place and got a large hot fudge sundae, so I wasn't hungry enough for steaks....So, tonight it's steak....I hope!!
They suck you in at the ice cream joint. $5 for a small cone, or for $6.25 you can get a large Sundae. It's a no brainer :hump:

As long as you didn't pass by a Cinnabon.

But you were just following the advice of those Internet memes - Life Is Short ... Eat Dessert first.

That's a bummer! It's funny you mention that. My wife came home excited telling me there was a sunflower in the front yard a couple weeks ago. We were taking off this weekend and she looked for it and it was gone. We thought someone picked it but maybe something ate it! A sunflower assassin is roaming the states from west to east. :eyesmoke:

You have never had poutine?

OK. Buffalo Chicken it is ... thanks for the advice.
I have not. I am not a frequenter of street fairs and festivals with their trucks of suspicious comestibles scattered amid the suspect attractions concealed behind the tawdry draperies of travelling shows and their weary barkers. Here, we cannot simply roll into a petrol dispensary and come away with 'the goods' as I understand is the custom in your nation. Oh, how I envy that freedom

I ratchet strap my bear proof can to a tree so that the bear can't take off with it. I've had them break two trash cans already that were bear proof and take off with one of them. If they can get them on the ground they just pounce on it with their front paws until it pops open. Good luck with your bear!
After many years of playing where's my trashcan because of bears I got a very large steel construction job box. It's crazy heavy and has bolted down locks. Now they just come after the feeders if I mess up and forget to bring them in at dusk. This was a decent size bear, probably 300-350 pounds. I put up game cameras in new spots today so if he comes back I'll have some pictures of him. I'm stuck in trim jail for the next few days so it breaks up the monotony of trimming.
