dang if cali snow pack wasn't slightly too far away I'd be there.....skiing in late april this year was the latest I'd ever been. Finally invested in some boots and skis so next year I'll be shutting do the grow room and disappearing to chase the slopes again.

yes !!! sierra cement is a real thing, aptly named, fresh snow in spring with 58* daytime temps sucks !!
Spring snow should be corn, needs freeze thaw cycles. Used to the best corn snow on the planet...this year has been bizarre...

Sadly I feel that the era of Dick Durance, Warren Miller of course Greg Stump, even James Angrove and Jon Long bringing it all on film. They told stories, made me go be a ski bum...

just moved the gear away for the summer and still dreaming of cold weather.... Will probably be febuary before we can take the family back and hit the slopes unfortunately. Need to remind myself to get snow tires or at least NEW tires before sliding around again.
