A couple three days ago I saw on the local news that the f-35's down at Tyndall were playing with live ammo. The first time for the 95th to fire their missiles.

I saw the first aircraft shot down by the F-22, it was an F-4 drone at Whitesands. That was cool to watch.

I think they used the Saipan for target practice too. I would have much preferred the traditional method of disposal. Being turned into razor blades. The old girl nicked me a time or two.
The CGC Point Welcome was also used for impromptu target practice during the Vietnam conflict.
LtJg Ross Bell became Capt Ross Bell and was later the skipper of the 210 I was on and the best CO I ever had the pleasure of working with!
