Correct me if Im wrong (Im learning too) but isnt the standard indicator of proper "ripeness" when 50% of the trichs turn from cloudy to amber?

No cos some things dont amber much even when ripe also some people cut before ambers it depends what you like smoke wise more ambers will make it heavier and more narcotic cos cbn vs cut when trichomes all cloudy with little to no ambers also when your determining ripeness the buds should be looked at too not just trichomes are they fat? and is the hairs all receded/shrivelled ? Then its probably ready personally i like a bit of ambers in it if its something that does and its indica dom i wouldnt wait for so much ambers if its sativa dom strain tho
