Experimenting with breeding.

Hi There Legends.

So I've encountered a little problem with my wedding cake strain in week 6 I've got Nana's. So I'm thinking of taking the opportunity of using the Nana's to pollinate a Candyland clone I cut to put into reveg. I haven't started the reveg process yet ,the clone is still in the flowering room in water, it has plenty of pistols and is healthy AF.
So what do you think guys will it work?

Thanks in advance Legends!

Thanks Tolerance break!
I just thought I might try and give it a shot, you saved me a lot of wasted time and patience!

Thanks again mate!
Yeah dont its always better to use sexually stable parents cos trying to eliminate the herm trait after the fact can be tricky not impossible but more work than if u just did it right from the start saves you hassle

If its just for smoking a herm isnt the end of the world but anything herming or carrying the recessive trait should be excluded from your breeding programs this is why half the newer hype genetics herm nice as they are they all bagseed wonders in origin for the most part if you track it back so alot will show it or pass the trait on dont get me wrong you can find good atuff in bagseed its a numbers game tho

I reckon she hermed from the bad stitching in a cheap tent, I had an idea it would happen, but I'm defo steering away from the idea now.
Thanks again man , awesome advise!

Unless that bad stitching has giant finger sized holes, and/or a grow light on right outside of it, it will not make it herm. Bad genetics, or constantly being stressed out during it's life will make it herm though.

If it were me I'd do it (I only grow for myself for something to smoke).
Seeds are seeds, and I'd just label them up as 'from hermie pollen' if you were thinking about doing some serious breeding in the future.

Thanks unknown remedy!

It's a grow light about as big as the sun ☀ lol bright sunlight shining through the bottom of the blinds. I was meaning to block it off but too late. Lesson learned the hard way on that one. It's a cheap tent too. I'm fairly new to growing. But really enjoying learning.
Thanks again man!

Cheap tents are the bread and butter of a lot of this community. If you don't have to drop some serious cash on one thing, it's a god send.

I have since I bought the one in question, the difference is night and day when it comes to quality. Originally I just purchased it for clowns but I used it to flower the wedding cake for I was running out of space, I can't agree with you more , premium kit is absolutely the way to go, when comes to anything I guess. Plus the poor man pays twice:)

The poor man only pays twice if you want perfect looking things. Duct tape works wonders.
