Ready To Harvest?

This is my first grow, so I don't want to chop these ladies down too late or prematurely.

From what I've read, I'm looking for about 75% of the pistils to turn orange and a ratio around 70/30 for cloudy/amber trichomes, but opinions on this also seem to vary greatly.

I've also read that some strains don't produce many amber trichomes and that waiting on these can result in past-their-prime trichomes effecting your overall THC levels. I've also heard that some strains will continue to push out new pistils pretty much until harvest time, which these two ladies seem to be pushing out a ton of new white pistils all the time.

I started flushing a week ago.

The strain I'm growing is Purple Punch feminized and today marks the final day of their 8th week in flowering. According to the site I bought the seeds from, the expected flowering time is between 6-8 weeks. However, I have heard there are circumstances where it can take longer than that.

Based on this, do these ladies look like their ready to harvest? If not, does anybody have some insight on how much longer they look like they need? I feel like their very close to harvest (if not already ready) and only need a few more days at most.

I would say they need at least a couple more weeks. Still lots of white hairs and no real swelling, they have a lot of fattening up to do still. They look good, hopefully the premature flush won’t hurt too much. Let them go longer if you can.

I'd say a couple more weeks . Looks like it has a few nanners so you may find some seeds . Overall they look pretty good for a first time .

What are nanners? I've been very careful about the light cycle, light leaks, and plant stress so I'd be surprised/disappointed to find seeds in these ladies

Nanners is growers slang for bananas . Late flower male pollen sacks . It's not an uncommon thing and could just be genetics . All kinds of things can cause them , it's a female plant making a last ditch effort to procreate . They don't make many seeds if they make any at all . It shouldn't affect the quality .

They look good at the time of the picture, if they still look good you can try feeding again to go longer. If you’re in the “You have to flush” group then just feed water until she runs out of nutes. Don’t let the leaves die back until they brown to the bud, it will invite bud rot. You should get some good smoke either way, and learned one reason not to flush at the end of a grow, only flush for salt buildup.
