Fly your Flag this coming week!

A reminder that if you are in the market to purchase a US Flag, please spend the money to get a quality, made in the USA flag, not one of the cheap ones from overseas. These 2 companies have been around for a long time. Their history makes interesting reading.

Annin Flagmakers (1847)

Valley Forge Flag Company (1882)

Our nephew received his solar powered mobile robot chicken coup earlier this year. It moves slowly over the pasture, allowing the birds to eat bugs and grass. Hoppers for food/water are filled once a week. There is an electric fence around the bottom to keep out critters/predators. Shades roll up/down to provide airflow/cooling. It houses over 300 chickens at a time. They will raise a few thousand meat birds this year. This automation setup frees up much of their time to focus on other aspects of vegetable farming.

Treat your banana with better care! :eyesmoke:
I’m on a strict diet right now because doctor said I’m type 2 again. 6.4 A1C :-(. I had it back down to 5.7 just a year ago.
So, i decided the other day to eat like 5 bananas. Holy shit my stomach hurt so bad all night i almost went to the hospital. I’m now thinking it’s not good to eat 5 bananas on top of a bunch of other fiber right away? Guess i gotta take it easy on them at first.

If you're trying to reduce your A1C you need to reduce fructose (fruit sugars) too.

Just had a bowl of oats with 1 sliced banana. Will have a bomb salad for lunch. And then a grilled boneless skinless chicken breast with some rice for dinner. Got pickles and other healthy stuff to snack on in between.
But yeah, the bunch of bananas was stupid. But went grocery shopping :-)

That certainly sounds healthy, never worked for me. I'm keto because I can't live on that. If that diet works for you that's great. I wish it did for me.

I have a buttload of tomatoes and zucchini if you want some. I guess peaches are not a good choice however. My tree is past it's prime and they are small now. It made money for me for a long time, can't complain. I can't climb up there to pick them anyway.

It’s worked for me before :-)
Mostly going to keep the calories below 2000 a day. I need to loose weight #1 thing. I only had around 1500 calories yesterday but also watching the sodium and sugar. No processed food for me. I was seeing a dietitian a few yrs back. She actually told me whole fruits are healthy period. But i also understand you can over do it. Its added fructose thats no good for the diabetes.

Good luck bro, I had a Dr visit a week ago and he told me if i lose another 40lbs I can get new knees. I switched to a plant based diet a couple months ago and i have lost 10lbs so far. He proscribed 1000mg B12. So it's oatmeal for breakfast every day, bean tostada or salad for lunch, and Pizza is plant based....right? Doing 10 miles a day on my stationary bike. Shooting for new knees in 2025.
