Friend or foe?

This insect was found on a cannabis leaf. Still alive in a Ziploc bag awaiting your decision. Believe it or not there was only the bug on the lower left in that bag. 6 hours later the insect on the upper right of the lower picture appeared. I think it came out of the bug on the lower left or maybe it was under it the whole time as in mating. I don't know, but any ideas?

Foe! Looks like a leaf hopper of some kind, sucks plant juices. Probably molted from a nymph or instar stage to adult.

Fwiw nymph and larvea aren't the same, a nymph has minor changes egg to adult a larvea goes through a complete transformation.

It does have the shape of a stink bug, the colors weren't what I was used to. I kill about 100 a year, but those (also a gift from Asia) are a mottled grey. I'll look into this.

I say all bugs and insects are foes..
I once did a wash with lemon juice, peroxide and maybe something else..
Had a praying mantis on a bud, live and kicking it.
Had it died and me not caught it, it probably had ran into rott issues

Billy I'm confused, a praying mantis is then a friend?

Haha, no not really, they are predators though and can feed off of other pests.. some consider them harmless and beneficial because of that.
They still have to shit though so thats no good and can potentially end up in your product if unaware.

You pay extra for the mantis coated triches in some parts of the world
