Idk guys.. i aint feeling it.. these things are good for heat and not needing to exhaust outside but im not really seeing benefits from it yieldwise to hids…
4x4 hid solid elbow.. 2x4 maybe 6 oz… nicer and tighter tops yes but lowers suffer..
 
heard the same but giving it a go anyway. Have a mars fc 4800 evo (480w) in the 3x3 flower tent and a fc 3000 (320w) evo in the veg room. Just finishing my last HPS run in the 5x5 tent....maybe ,,,,we see how the led's do. If no good, will revert back to MH and HPS and sell them LED's

Those are some pretty low yields, more is definitely possible. We do around 750 or just over pound and a half per tray and were a tad smaller than a 4x4.
How have you changed your growstyle and environment in order to adapt to your new leds?

The penitration to the lower canopey is not as strong with LEDs, you kinda have to scrog to get the best results. But i get about a gram per watt knowing im half assing it, where as a g/w is about the best you can do with HPS.

I have never really seen anyone define what penetration is and how you measure it.
1.5-2g/w seens to be fairly standard for a well dialed in led grow if your lights are on point.

How much of certain spectrum goes thru a leaf.
I think it's pretty common knowledge that blues/reds mostly don't even penetrate a single leaf.
Green penetrates best. Well.. atleast deeper in the leaf :)

With LEDs often having more green and way better light distribution, add some reflective walls to that
and you should get better "penetration" of the canopy from your LEDs than HPS.

I usually do outdoor but got a setup to do indoor now and picked up one of the new 800w Highgrove Cyprus EVO lights with a boosted green spectrum. Pretty excited to see how it does, the plants seem to really like it. Have BTY OG and Malibu Pure Kush cuts a 5x5 space under it in a bunch of 10gal living soil bags, just flipped them the other day.

Yes indeed! In down cannopy aswell. Though leds nowadays are so rich in green it doesnt really make sense theres a low penetration issue.
Personally im not a fan of too green heavy leds, the density is great but it seems to give a more boring mids quality in the product imho.

It took me 2 -1000w hps to achieve 4 lbs dry .

I can easily achieve 2 with my fce6500 but that it for me.
I used the fc6500s x 2 and have pulled 8 pound more than once, that is with scrogging, hydro, co2 and years of note taking and consecutive runs, if I got less than 3 a light I would be pretty pissed off
