Best outdoor strains that are mold resistant

Have you grown it outside?
Yep. It was made for outside, and was bred to be highly Mold/Mildew resistant.
it was also known as M26. Most of what I saw finished 1st week of September, with some going until 2nd week.

The Vashon Early Bird is a Hybrid of original SSSC M26, and Vashon Kush. Has been inbred for 35+ years on Vashon Island in Peugeot Sound.

So far so good. Right now a couple of the strains have started flowering and the only challenge so far has been a hard rain that bent over some branches and one whole plant. I was able to get them repaired and am hoping they recover.

I experimented with autoflowers this year too and unfortunately had some bud rot issues with them. I was able to salvage a lot of decent smoke out of it but it just has me wondering if BR can even be avoided without a greenhouse. I didn't do the greatest job taking care of them though. The climate I'm in just has too much humidity and rain for me to confidently have an outdoor grow go to harvest without losing a massive amount of bud from it.

So what I'm going to do is put up metal posts for trellis and try to make a makeshift greenhouse overtop with green house plastic. I'm still figuring out the details on how to frame it but I'm hoping it keeps the rain off them enough to prevent mold. Fingers crossed, wish me luck lol
I tell everybody this, Zerotol is an outstanding tool for PM and other fungus issues! It can be sprayed right up to harvest, leaves no residue and won't burn plants when used as directed! I've used it for my outdoor grow for 4 years and it is a game changer! Sometimes people spray it every other day.

Could zerotol be used as a budwash? I’ve kinda been thinking why not. Rinse it off with clean water should be fine…???

Just harvested three plants that finished a month ahead of everything else im growing in NY, which is great for avoiding Octobers cold, wet weather, when issues begin for many strains.
I want to mention that it was the first time I've grown these strains, and all plants were sprayed with a combo of BT & GrowSafe. Both are biological agents that prevent caterpillars, pests, fungal infections, and safe for mammals, and beneficial insects

I highly recommend Grapes N Cream.
It's very terpy, scent/tastes like luxury soap, buttercream, and 1980s Christmas (I cant explain it lol), smokes smooth, and has great resistance to WPM, and rot compared to all the other strains im growing. I think it's a special strain.

Oreoz is another awesome strain and finished at the same time. Very terpy, resistant to pests, and it was fungal free until the very last week of life, with only a 1% loss.
It also has the largest, most dense bud of all eight strains im growing this season.

RS11 is third that finished at the same time, and very fruity, potent, and very resistant to WPM.

I also grew some Oreoz this year and was surprised at its resistance considering the bud density. Zero WPM and only a few spots of rot starting just before I harvested it. I am right on the coast of York County Maine, so it can be a challenge to avoid rot. Good yield as well.

Last year i lost all of my outdoor to mold. It started early and never slacked off , just fkn mold everywhere. Even though i grow in somewhat of a greenhouse, i have a plastic roof but the side walls of my enclosure are lattice. No direct rain ever really hits the plants just when it blows in sideways maybe. Just the moisture in the air is enough to make serious mold.
I’ve been using zerotol this year, didn’t really have much rain until the last couple weeks. Mold is starting to show its face again but no where near the level of last year so it looks like the zerotol is working the best it can.I can’t imagine there is a product that can 100% eradicate mold. My area is just too fkn humid. Outdoor growing is nearly impossible,no matter the strain. I will still lose some for sure but hopefully it’ll be less than 50% or so. Good thing i overplanted lol.

How often do you apply the Zerotol? I know some people spray it every 2 days in certain conditions. It won't hurt your plants as long as you follow the directions.

I sprayed once a week through july and August because it was very dry , September started getting a little bit of moisture so I sprayed probably twice a week. This past couple weeks with all the rain i’ve been spraying it about every 3 days or so. It calls for an ounce per gallon but i usually make it a heavy ounce when its wet weather. I also spray BT roughly once a week as well.

Sounds like you have a good plan! Growing outdoor is an endless compromise with nature! Trying to find good weed that does well outdoors, and see if I can improve upon it, here.
