Carbon filter on portable ac

I ran a cheap 12000 btu arctic king with a 6 inch carbon filter on the exhaust for about 2 and a half years straight with no problems
What was the exhaust hose diameter on the ac mate? Did you use any kind of booster fan to help the air through the filter? Did you notice it restricting the air flow any?

It was a 6 inch exhaust coming off the ac unit. Just ran it straight into the crawl space into a carbon filter. No fans or anything. I didn’t really pay much attention to it but it worked fine as long as it was in use

That makes me feel a lot more confident about what I'm planning to do, I'm gonna get a booster can with the same airflow cfm as the ac is rated to and have that boost the airflow between the ac and the filter. My filter is gonna be huge in comparison to both the duct and the cfm of the ac too.
