Hello all, I got some organic fish emulsion fertilizer (5-1-1) and some organic seaweed fertilizer(0.1-0.1-0.5) for my vegging phase. the seaweed fert. sais to add 15mL to every litre of water and the Fish emulsion sais to use 5 ml to every litre.....do I just add 15mL of the seaweed and 5mL of the fish emulsion to one single litrle of water or should I be using more water since I'm using two different fertilizers? any input would be appreciated, thanks a lot

You will find that ya only need to fertilize perhaps 1 time while vegging. That is unless ya got little pots. Give them a blast of fish and wait a week and then give them the other. Mix them up in the recommended amounts of water. The next time ya need to give them nutes maybe until ya flower. That is my experience and i veg for about 60 days.

I am just growing one plant, I want to get it nice and big, I have been tying it down and letting the other tops grow up..its a month old right now and I feel like I am going to have to veg it for a good while before I get it the size I want to go in to flowering. How big are your plants when you go in to flowering and how big are they when they are done?.

I put mine on a screen so how tall and big i am not sure. I veg for about 60 days and get about 3 oz per plant. Just remember nutes make them grow, but too much is harful. Its easy to over do it. I know not to over do it and still do. LOL

forgot to attach the pics last post, lol....here they are. tell me what ya think...does she look good for her age?

They look good. I missed there age. They look healthy so they are on track for there age. I am guessing 3 to 4 weeks.

those look fine for one month, if you have a one plant limit you should veg as long as you can wate haha, but make sure you will have some space for budding cause they still grow up. leave the plants height in space when swiching to 12/12 like half of your space i mean lol.

Here's how my plants look after 1 month and 3 weeks. I vegged for 1 month. Using FF big bloom, tiger bloom, and grow big. Also used some pirahana for the first 2 weeks or so. Also using kool bloom during flowering and some molasses. Ohh and every once in a while some fish emulsion.. There are two of them in a 4x4x6.5 tent with a 400 watt cool tube. These pics are 3 or 4 days ago...ohh and it's suppose to be grapefuit haze

What your humidity in your grow space?

My humidity is very low...sometimes its only like 25 but mostly around 30. It seems to have been growing good though. I was thinking about gettin a cool mist humidifier cause my temps get decently high also considering it is a closet and I am using a 400w MH now. Heres some pics from a couple days ago.

DAMN, MY PLANTS ARE SO SMALL! idk, i guess i just need to get the hang of this. i'm doing a bagseed and then 3topskunk44, 3 mandala#1, and 3 8miles high, and, doing chem nutes on all the bagseed but 2, then chem on six of the genetics, then three organic (i'm inexperienced, and i've heard chem is easier to start with.)

fish emulsion & seaweed are great for building or re-building a healthy soil. as mentioned, mix up the fish & then with the next feeding use the seaweed. using both of them together, half & half (7.5ml each), or i would suggest even 2 parts fish (10ml) to 1 part seaweed (5ml). i agree after a month of vegging your plants are rather small.

Fish emulsion is produced using a heat process which destroys enzymes, vitamins, hormones and amino acids. Nice shot of nitrogen, but that's about it. You'd be way ahead of the game by using hydrolyzed fish fertilizer, which is produced using a cold extraction process that retains all the aforementioned goodies and benefits the soil while still providing nitrogen.

Alaska Fish Fertilizer 5-1-1, an emulsion, is no longer OMRI certified for food production.

on my last grow i used alaskan emulsions, seaweed extract and fox farm big bloom during vegging and my plants were extremely healthy and vigourous. far more than any other grows in the past. I will use this combo from now on. I never used full strength of any of the products though, seemed like a bit of overkill.
