Ya the shit on the bottom is irrelevant.. I dropped a magnet and there are some rocks in there. All i have in there is the 2 air stones, 180 gallon per hour water pump, a thermometer to keep track of water temp, and a air pump mounted on the outside. I am goin to be adding the 1/4 inch hose to feed the pods soon and that will be it. And u need the water to be like 4 inches below the pods or cups. When the roots get bigger they will grow str8 down into the water. U dont want the water to high or u will flood the roots causing root rot or other dumb shit. How do u have the water gettin to the pods. Show me a picture of ur top so i can see ur pod set up

I dont think so Hairy. U need to take the lid off for all that shit. I might cut out a hole in the top corner somewhere and put a trap door so i can add water and check ph without opening the top. Good question now u got me thinkin

Here is the top... Mine have been in Veg for a while so when I switch to DWC and put the water level at 4inches under the basket wont the roots that are not in water dry out ?

Thanks Hairy u just gave me that idea. Im gonna build a trap door. If u think about it to add water and nutes and all that with the top the way it is has to be a 2 man job. U cant just take the top off and set it down. Im glad u asked that b4 i started using it, I woulda kiked myself in the ass tryin to hold the top tilted and try to pour water in with the other hand tryin not to drop the top and destroy the plants. I owe the mouse trap door idea to u Hairy thanks again

Do u have water pumpin to the pods at all? Or do u just have it all submerged in water. And i would do 3 inches below the pods. I dont know how u are doing it without the pods being supplied with water.

To me it looks like u have a sprayer under the roots. From what i see it looks like ur doin fine. I would try and take that mylar off the base though because it looks like ur lights are too bright and causing hot spots. If u dont have the air stones glued down now just get the two air stones with a 30 or 40 gallon air pump and put them in there. They dont need to be glued down they just need to be in the water submerged. U can always glue them later when u harvest this grow.

I would fill it to right under the sprayers. Leave a half inch between the sprayer and ur water level and i think u will be fine. I like the sprayer idea elite. Can u adjust the sprayer height or is it fixed? I would put the sprayer 3 inches under the pods then fill the rez up to a half inch below the sprayers. Let me know how that werks out

So what does the water pump do that you have in their? does it just circulate the water? I guess I could just use the on I have now and just take off the sprayer apparatus... I figured that just putting alot of airstones would be sufficient.... So as far as the roots.... Do If I fill it to just 3 inches under the basket then some of the roots wont be in water will this be a problem? thanks so much dogtagz i went on aim to see if you were there so I didnt have to keep using this but I reallly appreciate your guys help as this is my first grow

here is what I just Did I filled the resivour as high as I could without submerging the sprayers.... tommrow I can get a hose to extend it Higher to allow more roots to be underwater....I also Took the mylar off cause everyone kept telling me there was burn from it on my leaves and here are some pics what do you think

Mine isnt finished elite. If u seen the pump with the long hose on it. I need to plug that hose and drill 5 1/4 inch holes in the long piece of hose. Then i will run 1/4 inch holes from the long piece to all the pods. And that will supply my pods with water until the roots go under water. I wouldnt remove that sprayer elite. I would just add the air stones and fill the rez right below the sprayer system. U will need to water the roots that are in the pod though especially if u remove the sprayer. If i was u i would raise the sprayer just a lil so its about 2-2 1/2 inch below pods then fill water 1/2 inch below the sprayer. Im still a little confused on what ur trying to do elite. Explain to me throughly what ur plan is and what u want to do

I do see the brown spot i dont know exactly what it is. It might be root rot but im not positive. Like hairy said try and keep ur ph low between 5.5-6 no higher. And it will keep ur roots white. On top of that what is the temp of the room and the water in the rez?

Whats good, all is goin great, the WR has been a discolored for a good time, but she finally got her full green bac after i added the nutes. Roots galore, got some really thicc root limbs comin strait outa the sponge. I get paid tommorrow and will be buying 4 more CFL's to add to my other 2 for a total of 6 red spec lights and im only going to use 2 of my 3 blue spec light for side lighting. so a total of 10 Lights including the 2 stock I think 26 watt AG lights should be enough to get some good buds. Other than that im pretty excited to put my ladies into flowering!
Pic 1. is the TW and the OOG, TW lookin good as always, lots of tops, growing nice. the OOG is lookin better everyday, with the lights raise up she sould catch up to the rest in no time. Will try to put up individual pics when i start flowering.
Pic 2. is the WR, PBK, and the MS. Again the WR finailly is fuly green, jus a lil yellowing you can tell by some of the older pics. Like the TW, lots of tops, cain wait to see em forming buds. the PBK is doing really great, i lover her dark shade of green. purple stems, strong smell, really lookin foward to her. the MS is streching out, haha kinda the runt now but shes doin good, wish i knew what strain she was but i guess i get to make up the name
or try and figure out what she is.
Pic 3, 4. is of em chillin like always, and the other pic is of the light set up, i have those Y socket adaptors so i can put 2 lights on one connector, so the three holders you see will have 2 lights on em each, then i will be getting two more regular clamp lights for side lighting.
