Yeah, I think the ad said anywhere from
$15-$45 an hour. It depends on what degree you have,
and how many kids you're tutoring.

Omg, I LOVE math. lol. Especially Algebra.

But I hated geometry, I don't consider that math, just
trying to figure out angles on shapes, which is weird. lol.

Trigonometry was ok I guess.

I wouldn't exactly say I hate English, but I suck at writing essays,
though I managed to pass my English AP class with an A. haha.

I consider myself a very smart girl.:-P

Tutoring, doesn't that pay pretty well? I know I could have used a math tutor for my kids, I really suck at math.

I hope you get the tutoring job, it'd be good work and decent pay.

Tell me about it.

But yeah, I checked craigslist, and a company is hiring tutors who are college
students, and people with BA. I guess I kinda qualify. I graduated with
a 3.63...

I hope I at least get a call back.
I know how that goes, I remember job hunting, that shit sucks, I just hope that either, A. The economy gets better, or B. it doesn't get any worse, cause having to tuck my tail between my legs and go back home doesn't sound like fun to me.

Though watching C-Span right now, and it looks like one of the Repukes (Rep. Carter) introduced a bill that states that if the IRS is not going to assess penalties and interest on the debt of a Congressman that failed to pay taxes then they should not be able to assess penalties and interest on any one's old taxes.

Geometry, coloring books for older kids...

I hated Geometry, trig on the other hand wasn't that bad. I could actually see how it might be useful in the real world.

lol. I actually failed Geometry. haha.
But the last day of school me and friend (now my lovely boyfriend)
begged our teacher the whole day to pass us.
We had 67%.

we were like PLEASE!!! lol.
I think I could have passed if I wasn't so into my boyfriend.
lol. all we would do is talk and get bitched at. lol.

I loved that class tho, I miss my homies.:?

Trig was good for me, I was going for an A, but then got
lazy at the end of the year and graduated with a C+,
I know that brought down my GPA...oh well...haha.

I taught my computer how to do my trig homework (spent more time doing that, then it would have taken me to do my homework, but teaching my computer to do it for me was more interesting.)

I think I got a B+ or a low A. The computer wasn't there to help me on tests.

But it's all good, I got a job programming, so all that time spent teaching my computer how to do my trig homework for me paid off.

Seriously? I didn't know you could do that. lol.
Was it hard programming the computer to do that?
I always cheated on tests, well I wouldn't say cheat.

I always had a tiny copy of the unit circle, everything
else I did on my own, and sometimes my asian homie helped
me, or my other friend. They both had A's in the class. :-P

Btw, is computer programming fun, difficult? My boyfriend has really been
into that stuff lately.

I sucked at Algebra, I could never help my kids with that crap.

Writing essays I loved though. I was always great at those.

I actually liked term papers too. I'm weird like that.

TBT, what do you mean go back home?

Not really fun, and if he's ignoring you, just threaten to beat him if he doesn't pay attention to you. Or take him away from the computer, he'll appreciate it.

It can be interesting and boring, tedious and fun, stressful and relaxing. It all depends on what is going on. Some times its relaxing cause the code doesn't require much thought, being thought out before hand. Other times it can be tedious (debugging) and annoying.

As far as teaching a computer how to do trig homework. It wasn't that hard, just took some time. The hardest part is the fact that computers are really stupid, and do exactly what they are told to do, with out thinking about it. (Which is probably why they haven't replaced humans everywhere either)

Ca only has 3 more days left before they're out of money. What are they gonna do?

I know, the federal government can take all the money that they intend to waste busting med patients and instead give that money to CA for their budget. Put the DEA in the unemployment line.

I don't see how giving CA money is going to help the people of CA. The government of CA needs to learn its lesson (even if the way that it does is very painful...)

Perhaps the federal government can just skip giving CA money, and let it sink or swim on its own.

I still want to know what they intend to do. Are they going to jack everyones taxes way up? Are they going to take pay cuts (doubt it)?

My state is going to be broke soon too, we're impeaching our governer while he refuses to come to his own hearing, but now he does want to show up and give his own closing argument. Our governers one by one end up making license plates. There can't be that much cash left.

God, I really need a gun and shooting lessons. Shit's getting too real too quick and I'm just not as prepared as I should be.

In Nv., the shortfal is about 3.5 billion. Our esteemed repuke governors' first budget cut, education, 36%, teachers pay cut 6%, we are 59th on the low end of teachers pay as it is. When all the teachers leave, we'll be the dumbest state in the union, well maybe a few of those southern evangelical states will surpass us. That's always the repuke way, cut education. I guess they figure if they keep us dumb enough, we'll keep electing repukes.

they are sending out IOU's for tax returns for starters.

they are going to close the schools and shut down the police departments.

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&sid=akq6IchGCxgs&refer=us
"California, the most-populous U.S. state, is anticipated to have $42 billion less than it will need to pay for schools, police and other expenses through June 2010. "

If they close schools, they're going to need 4 times as many cops on the street, but there won't be any cops, because as soon as they stop going on duty, they will become targets.

Are you looking into homeschooling for you child? I home schooled my daughter and then she took a GED test, she kicked ass and scored really high on it.
