One for each t.v..... You know you could put Mythbuntu on one of those and hook the t.v's up via s-video/ hdmi or component cables. I ahve 2 t.v's hooked up to my linux machine as well as the lighting system to my living room and bedroom. Its actually pretty cool.
This is an exaple

That's wicked. I have thought about Mythbuntu but like Media Center better. I don't have the cash for the home automation yet. I do have x10 cams though and one controller. I gotta upgrade those outdated POS cameras to night vision. I can watch my house from work if I turn back on the broadcast. Lots of technology just out of reach for now. I'm still trying to get my A+ degree so I can do some union side work. Pays more than turning wrenches.

Some meter's have both setting's.. I dont fully understand the EC I think of it like the metric system compared to regular math. I think both measurements get people to the same spot in the end EC is just alot more complicated was wondering the same thing.. Id start with a good ppm meter. Its what most people use.And easier to use.

DL, I found this at Advanced Nutrients hope it helps.
What is EC: EC stands for "Electrical Conductivity" and gives a measure of how strong a nutrient solution is. Mineral nutrients become dissolved in water because they carry either a negative (-) or positive (+) charge. These charged nutrients are called ions and can conduct a small electrical current which is proportional to their concentration.

This current of ions is what EC sensors detect, ranging from 0.0 mS/meter in distilled water to 1.6 mS/meter for strong nutrient solutions. Sometimes EC is given in units of uS/cm, so in this case 1.6mS/meter is displayed 1600 uS/cm.
To translate ppm into EC Advanced Nutrients uses a conversion factor of 700 (ppm/mS/m); simply divide the ppm value by 700 to convert ppm to EC.

Bro this is very helpfull. Gives a nice equation for people that are using EC only meters..So they can figure correct ppm's and keep levels in check..Awesome bro.

Yea bro it really is the simpleist form of hydro i think.. U need the proper components like hydroton, lava rock and pots etc but its just as simple as setting up a soil grow and alot less maintenance than soil at least i think..And the rewards come twice as fast thats what sold me on it!
If u need some help man just let me know ill share what i know bro.. very simple tho.. Im going to tell ya everything u always hear about it.
Good luck with the system man..Follow a few simple rules dude and ur gonna be wishing u never began the journey cause of the monsterous plants but at the same time u will become completely obsessed and after time wont wanna leave the grow at all..

Gonna be ordering seeds soon. But i got a few seeds and ran into a dude with some gdp clones and seeds. Maybe ill continue perfecting my grow until im ready to step it up.

yes definately wanting to get dwc on the go as u said it quicker and better results, plus i like the fact that if i did manage to over nute the flush is as simple as changing the water as it would take more to flush from soil, i was speaking to net and she said it was quiet system which i was happy about as i was worried bout the noise from the dwc, i am going to make a journal i am just waiting patiently for the equipment to arrive, i may have to put it off for another week after it gets here as i want to have dwc stuff and my blue moonshine here so i can try perhaps 1 supergirl and 1 bluemoonshine in dwc and the rest organic soil, just to see the difference and so that others can see my journal and see the difference aswell.

it is my first grow though i have many friends that have grown and know and seen many others grows, and learned alot since becoming a riu member, i am spending the extra cash and getting good equipment and seeds as like i said before its alot of peoples opinions that u get what u pay for, so i want to go all out as far as my wallet lets me and get a really good grow, and am confident that with the help and advice i will recieve from urself and others i have met on here i can achieve a well good grow with sweet buds for smoking.

i always wanted to grow my own but never got round to it or had the fund's, but i can easily see me getting addicted to this lol, i am already so excited and finding better and better equipment and better advice the longer i wait for my stuff to arrive lol by the time it gets here i will want even more stuff for my grow lol, the only annoying thing i have come across is the fact that so many of the people on here are from the states so finding the equivalent equipment and nutes etc are proving a task although i am getting there, i have found some uk suppliers for some of the stuf u use over in usa but other stuff like foxfarm soil is gona cost me an absolute fortune to get mailed over as u can imagine so i will have to find uk equivalent.

these cfl's interest me for veg but i cant seem to find the lampholder thingies u guys use to hold the bulbs into a multi adaptor and am hopng my 400w dual spectrum growlux bulb will work just as good

Really looking forward to ur grow man. I helped grow and grew in soil forever outside and inside bro still grow in soil indoors when my dwc is full actually. Nothing compares to crops growing outdoors in soil man ill never argue that. Wish i could.
DWC has worked for me in my current situation.
Stealth! Fast hydro growing in small areas that with using certain techniques by some growers.U can grow similar crops in less time using the least amount of space.
In particular Fuct..Just look it up.. This style can be exploited to all extents of grow ideas imagineable and is exciting at the same time.
Growing now so i dont have to buy it. Its that simple.
RIU..yea This was the first site i joined..I joined after awhile of lurking, learning new things and contributing them to my grow. Ive been around but this is the most active and knowledgeable site by far.
Ive got a couple active grows man. A stealth dwc sog and a side project in the dwc subforum.
If i can help i will but it sounds like uve done ur homework and are ready to start DWC.
Also, nice on the bulb.. I just paid tripple costs for that bulb its supposed to be the best .CFL's are cool for a few plants.
M/H Is gonna veg um quicker and im sure the lux will veg um just as nicely.
Great choice.
Anyways good luck looking forward to ur journal..Put it in the subforum so peeps can really see whats up.

Ya man I have Adobe Acrobat. I have been saving different threads as PDF files for future reference. I also have several PDF file collected from around the net on growing, building boxes, hydro, etc. Just reading all of them takes time and also some authors differ on nutes, lighting etc. I may make a big torrent and upload it to TPB, I just have to edit it and remove names and such.

I am no expert so I only post info that I know is fact or worked for me. I see lots of people giving bad advise to us n00bs, sometime I chime in if I am 100% sure.

Oh and also it is good to consult with my brothers and sisters on RUI. More fun than reading a of technical info. Hmmm "The Technicians Handbook of DWC" written by the DWC Club members. Maybe each of us have a list of what lighting, nutes, grow time, etc. I dunno just throwing some shit out there.
