Metal Halide

I have a 175watt metal halide and 400watt metal halide bulbs. How would I use these to grow??? I was thinking use the 175 watt for the first part and the 400 for the second part... But can anybody help me plzzzzz.

do you have the ballasts for these bulbs.
what size is your grow room?

what do u mean ballasts??? and the room is about 5th lenght.... 3 ft wide.

its gonna be in a half bathroom. it has a stand up shower and a sink. thats all thats in it.

a ballast sends power to the bulb making the bulb burn hence light
hang above plants if you had the ballast but since you dont the metal halide bulbs are junk

i do have the things to put over the lights. the lights work. i need to know how do i use them. like the 175watt for the first part and the 400 watt for the bud......

yes that will work out fine. i like an HPS for flowering but you already got that MH and it will work.

my last grow I got just short of a pound outta 2 400 watt MH
should work fine!

it sounded like you were going have 2 rooms. a veg room and a flower room
yeah go with the 400 for the whole grow or use them both at the same time.

make 2 room it will cut your harvest time in half, if you can maintain mothers then you can cut every 2 months at the least. some people perpetually get a harvest every week. To me in the same space youre either gonna get a pound every 2 months , a 1/2 pound every month, or a 1/4 pound every week..... only difference I see in perpetual grows is the harvest will always be fresher. sorry rambling again.

You need to spend about 2 days reading on here. After doing said reading, you will come back to this thread, answer your ? and feel dumb about making it! There is so much knowledge on this site, and you haven't seen any of it yet. It will take you atleast a month of off and on reading on here to have the skills to implement a good grow. Dont rush and dont be cheap. If you do, your buds will suck or never happen.

ive spent at least a year and I can say I still dont know what the hell im doin lol. seriousily if you take a special interest in this, make growing your favorite hobby of study, you shall be rewarded.... hopefully not busted first shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
