Just read a few pages back u only vegged 3.5 weeks and they were 12" tall, damn man i thought you must've vegged for months considering how big they are now. Is that cause theyve taken off since using HPS or just normal growth rate associated with flowering stage? if you stayed using the cfls they wouldnt be this big would they?

Well ya, this is typical with Metal Halide, but I vegged with cfls and I was fully amazed with the outcome. I never vegged under cfls, but this grow has definitly changed mind thoughts about cfls. I still am a firm beliver that flowering, for best results must be done under at least a 250 watt hps for 1-2 plants, buthe more wattage the better.;-)

i am a firm believer that m/h is better for veg growth
not only is it one light bulb to deal with, it penetrates way further into the plants canopy than cfls do

Don't get me wrong gman, I have always vegged under m/h, but with this grow I was truelly impressed with the growth with cfls. I think I am going to stick with cfls for veg. Just for the fact for 1 you save more electricity, 2 you don't need to worry about m/h bulbs blowing up from 24/0 and finally the heat issues with m/h. The heat is alot more hotter than hps....


Also, did you check out the bud porn I posted yesterday without the hps lighting????:-?

It's actually da purps from bagseed, But from what I am hearing to get the purple color from da purps I need to lower the temps in the last 2 weeks everynight.......

What happend to you yesterday, rough day at work?

Wut up bro, Ya the temps need to reach 50 degrees, LOL like that shit gonna happen in my room. It is possible, but I really don't feel like freezin my ass of.

Ya, I actually have to hid lights both are 400 watts. 1 is a sunsystems that is mh/hps without a mh convershion bulb needed. I paid $170 I think back in San Diego, and the other one, I have no fuckin clue watt brand, but is a mh/hps and needs a conversion bulb. I got this one for free though from a friend in North Carolina.

I also have a sun sytems econgrow reflector here with me and back in Arizona I have a 6" cool tube, but my wife did not want to send it to me,LOL.......:-(

You cannot just use any bulb on any hps/mh system it need to meet the correct size. Like both my systems take any bulb that fits S51.

Oh and I cant talk this shit to the wifey, I do need to come home to here in a month in a half LOL.....:-(
