i thought it was a 400 but couldnt remember400w grolux
i'm not sure since your doing soil but i would have been on full strength from about 6" tall.ok guys, the girls are due a feed tonight just before lights out and im thinking to add half strength nutes, this will comprise of root complex(ec+ph neutral) ,supervit, powerzyme(ec plant suppliment NPK 0-0-0) and TNT complex(NPK 6+4+2)...what do you guys think?...tnx
for sure. wasn't trying to tell him to go full strength. you gotta work out whats best for you and starting small is the key with nutes.I wouldn't get caught up in comparing your plants to other grows. Just focus on what YOUR plants are telling you. If they look hungry, feed. If they look fine, don't force it on them. All strains grow differently so to say they all must be given nutes at a certain point is not always correct. Unless you have dark purple stems and leaves rapidly fading in color I would start out very light on nutes. Just to give you an idea, my veg formula calls for 7 mL/gal and I start at 1 mL/gal. I would do 1/4 strength at most for first feeding.
This is why I like you Mared, you speak sense.Yea man, most nutes will bring down ph. That's why it's important to test your feed water AFTER you have added everything you are going to add to it. I'm like mr west. My plants barely get a chance to taste any veg nutes before it's time for flower. You're not missing out on anything. A plant in flower is truly a whole different animal than one in veg. Its nutrient needs change completely. As long as you have healthy green leaves as you switch into 12/12 it means the plant has enough stored nitrogen to last it through flower. Heck, I've even put nitrogen deficient plants into flower which is supposed to be a no-no because bloom nutes have very little nitrogen and it is claimed to be hard to green them back up. What do you know they did green back up immediately and I had found out for myself that another thing I heard on the forums was a myth. (You have to watch out for those.) People who try to take their plants "to the max" in veg don't get very far. Flower is the time to be pushing the limits.
