1st Time Uk Grower~Fem WW~DR100 Setup

Yea the shape of your plant will continue to change until it stops stretching in week 4 or so. Some branches will reach for the lights more than the others and become stronger. I wait until about week 3 and then I can really see which branches have positioned their budsites close enough to the light. It is at that point that you see how crowded your room will really be too. But if you see any sites right now that for sure won't make it to the light then I would go ahead and lose em.

Guys,i think i have a problem seriously.
i bought 10 feminized white widow from marijuana-seeds.nl...i germed 6 as you all know and they are growing very well,the other 4 are stored away nice and safe.
The problem i have is that 4 are definately female,the other 2 which by coincidence are the tallest look like they have early MALE flowers!...How can this be?...as far as im concerned this grow has been perfect with no problems what so ever.theyve been in flower 10 days up to now,theres no light leakage,temps and humidity are perfect and theres been no powercut...i will try to get some decent pics with my phone cam but i reckon its gunna be hard.....I'm gutted

Hey..., thats the site I got my Fem seeds from too... They say the ratio is about 97 or 98"% FEM... If yours are only 66% that would suck... and gives me more reason to watch mine carefully. I also have 2 plants that are bigger than the rest. Maybe at least 1 will come out Hermie and not male... then you can pollinate some nodes on one plant and get yourself a good batch of FEM WW seeds that will last you a long time. Im just trying to look on the bright side.

yea im pretty sure mate,they look like the suit of clubs in a pack of playing cards...ive looked round the net and come across some pics of early male flowers and they look spot on the same.im gunna give them another 24hrs and if theres no change they are outta there...just charging my phone and then i will take some pics.God man no way did think i would ever feel low over a plant...i will email them you know coz i still have 4 seeds left..im not happy at all but i spose i should be grateful i got 4 on the go.

Damn bro. Yea man that's a little disappointing. I've been there. My first grow I thought I had 8 out of ten plants female. Two weeks into flower they started to herm all over the place and I ended up with only two true females. It's all good though man because the ones that remain will just grow bigger and stronger than they would have with the others in there. As long as you get a couple true fems you are set.

I'm 99% sure they are 2 male plants so they are coming out in the morning.Im palming them off for a guerilla grow to see if i can make any hash as ive never done that before,i dunno if males are any good for that but i presume so.
Which leaves me 4 beautiful girls,im not gunna trim them for a while to see if they really bush up.
Do you guys think i have a right to mail seeds.nl and tell them i am not happy about this or am i clutching at straws?..i still have 4 seeds left and some of them might be male.

Seed companies generally will send you some free stuff if you have an issue. Definitely be very polite and instead of complaining say you just want to warn them that the seeds they're selling aren't turning out all female. They should try to help you out.

If those plants are truly male I don't think they will be useful for much of anything since you don't want to do any breeding. Males produce almost no THC, less than the dirtiest shwag you've ever smoked. If they are just hemies than not only will the trim be usable for hash but the buds will be plenty smokeable. Just pick out the seeds and it should be as good as your true fems. They will have to be kept separate though because they will pollinate your other girls. So keep watching to make sure whether every preflower is male or some turn out fem.

Bad shit man. I bought som seeds from marijuana-seeds.nl. chronic bud they was but i didnt think they did fem seeds. The chronic they have grown has been really nice and special witha purple pheno one that my m8 is keeping as a clone only jus incase the rest aint the same.

Yea, those are nuts for sure. It's possible to force a female to produce pollen sacs by spraying it with a giberillic acid solution but there's nothing that will make a male plant produce pistils and buds. But the fems look great. You will still yield plenty enough to satisfy anyone's appetite for herb.

So they are deffo not hermi then,im gunna fire a email off tonight and see what they say.I hope they are cool about it because ive raved about their service and germ rate...we will see...
Anyways onwards and upwards.... the 4 girls are sprouting budsites all over the show and have ALOT more light on them which is good,temps have gone up from 75F to 78F since i lost the 2 males but im happy with that.Cannot smell anything at all until i unzip the dr100(it reeks of weed plants when i open it haha) so the carbon filter is doing its job great.
So yea..Still going good

Ok,ive sent a nice email off to marijuana-seeds.nl..lets see what they say.I'd be happy if they just replaced the 2 seeds and guaranteed that if theres any more males in the other 4 femmed seeds that they would be replaced also.I gave the 2 males away yesterday to my bezzie mate and he's gunna grow them out in his back garden.I'm toying with the idea of taking a couple of cutting for clone and pollenating them with the males...Of course this will be done at my friends house so not to contaminate mine.

Yea man I would love to get into breeding. Create your own strain no one in the world has ever smoked before, that would be awesome. So yea if your friend is into it I would definitely make some WW crosses when you get new strains in the future. I'm not sure what exactly happens when you breed two plants from the same strain, probably some more of the same. You'll get a whole bunch of seeds at least.

Sounds like a great plan mate, take lemons and make lemonade! If the Widow is as nasty as it sounds, you could end up with a few hundred seeds and never need to purchase any again!
Sucks about that though, if the seed vendors a respectable one, they'll definitely send you a new pack on them or at least offer something.

Especially if you tell them it's your first purchase/grow from them!

Ok here's my weekend update.
let me see now,vegged on day 30 from seed..Day 12 of flowering...so it's day 42!
yep day 42 and all is well apart from the whole tranny plant episode haha.
Erm dunno what to say really(i am stoned though),got a speedy reply from marijuana-seeds.nl which is great.The guy said he was gunna get in touch with the breeder to see if theres been any quality issues and will get back to me next week so im happy with that.
Plants are coming on great and ive shot 4 individual pics of them.I'm toying with the idea of taking the reflector off to get more light in there...lemmi know what you think pls guys.

Awesome dude. Plants look great. I like your pruning job. That's exactly how I do mine. I've seen people have a lot of success with hanging their lights vertically in the room with no reflector on them. But it seems they only do that once they have stopped growing taller. Like around week 4. So you would need to spread your plants towards the corners and hang the bulb in the center between them. That way instead of a reflector catching the light it is surrounded by only plants.
