I am ordering seeds and I see that they have auto flowering seeds. what is the difference...does this mean that in a specific time they will flower or does this mean that I should start them in 12/12

Are there specific benefits that I would get from this?

'Auto flowering' means that the plant will not require the trigger of 12/12 light cycle to kick it into flowering. This means that the plant will 'automatically' move into flowering mode after a short veg period of around 3 weeks. The big advantage is that you keep them growing start to finish on a 18/6 cylcle and they will just flower away! You can add new plants for a perpetual turnover without the need for seperate cabinets etc!

Yields are not the biggest, but Lowryder for example stays short and compact. The strains are Indica/sativa/ Ruderalis and it is the latter which brings the autoflowering trait through.

If they auto flower is it beneficial to keep them on 18/6 schedule or should you still switch them back to 12/12 ?

Never tried auto flower before so thought I might try to learn something.

Most auto flower grows I have seen use 18/6 start to finish! They do much better indoors in my experience on this constant 18/6 cycle.
