Changing water pH level

What are the cheapest ways to lower and raise the pH level of my water? Is there anything I can use that I might have at home. I heard of vinegar to lower it?

PH up and PH down found at any pet store like petco, petsmart etc. I believe i have even found it at walmart in the fish section.

I read on a package of grodan rockwool cubes that you can use lemon juice to lower the ph, the picture showed a fresh lemon being squeezed into some water

The stuff for fish is not so good at all.... It will take a LOT if you have a big water reservoir, i suggest a more concentrated product. I use 17% phosphoric acid 8$ a bottle.... I use few drops in 5 gal. of water to reduce the ph from 7 to 5.5

If you cant get to the hydro store... Lemon Juice for PH down. Couple of drops goes a long way. I have never tried vinegar. Order the PH Up / Down. Its cheap and lasts a long time.
