Barney's Farm Blue Cheese/G13 Labs Power Skunk

Ok I'm starting this journal pretty late. Sorry! Initially this grow was going bad. Algae problems and stuff. I have since gotten help from a few good guys on RIU, and my babies are back on track. I've got 3 Barney's Farm Blue Cheese and 2 G13 Power Skunk.
Now these babies are 1 month and 5 days old, so they aren't as big as they should be after their growth was stunted cause of slime do from algae. Roots were growing but not looking healthy. Also so everyone is informed that I got impatient because my roots and babies weren't growin right. Which was a mistake! They were in flowering for 5 days and I have since put them back in Vegging! Now I have re-rigged my system and BOOM, and they're off. Coming around the stretch, #1 manages to stay on the lead. Coming around the bend is flowering time! One of my B.C. have shown her little pistils coming out. So let me bring everyone up to speed!
Alright here goes
My grow space is my closet in a spare bedroom.


It is 7' L x 3' W x 8' H
I am using a 18 gallon res w/ 13 gallons of water. 3 air pumps(1 dual output 125 gallons, 1 dual output 65 gallons, and 1 single output 60 gallons. I've got 5 14" airstones. My lights are 400 W MH/ HPS. Using MH for veg.
I use Dutch Master Gold Grow A&B And Dutch Master Gold Grow Flower A&B. I use Dutch Master Max Grow(Booster I think), Dutch Master Max Flower(Booster I think), and Dutch Master Zone(root conditioner, good for fighting bacteria in ur res.) I use tap water w/ chloramine in it! IT IS COMPLETELY SAFE! I have read up on it and I spoke to my local Hydroponics supplier and they use our city water for their grows. I also called 2 other supply stores in different states and they said the same thing. Apparently chloramine is in majority of U.S. water. So once again. IT IS SAFE! I just let my water sit no less than 4 hours, no more than 24 hours. I also add about 1-2 cups of H202(3% that u buy at walmart) to my 13 gallons of water to help with the algae that I'm afraid might be in my net pots. So I keep H202 in mey res water.

These are my babies at a few days old. The ones w/ the blue/red toothpicks are B.C. and the black toothpicks are P.S.

Alright I just decided to thoroughly check my babies and it kind of seems they're all females. The last pick I'm iffy cause it's not white like the other ones. But it's a pistil coming out with another pistil. But the 3 Barney's B.C. and 1 G13 Labs PS have white pistils. If anyone see's anything wrong throw me ur 2 cents. I might chuck a penny back at u

Dude, look at those roots! almost 3 weeks and look. And if they turn out to be hermies, I could look on the bright side. Free feminized seeds from great, well known strains. I can even x breed. It actually might be fun. Start x-ing strains and wind up w/ a HTCC winner! Oh yeah
! LOL. Seriously though it could be a could thing and it was a learning experience. Not to say I won't make those mistakes again. It happens. Thanks for the encouragement and for helping and supporting me. Big thumbs up to u. One thing though is that me and a local grower, who also works at my local Hydro Supply store, and he said he's heard of people feeding more than 3 hours a day and that's a no no. When I told him about my situation and how I was running mine at 24/7. And how I had lost all my roots, and this had helped big time. He was kind of wowed. He said it wasn't right. but it's working for me so I will continue to do so. -Dodge

Not really sure if this is results of slow growth because of mites or if I'm just expecting bigger flower by week 4. The first pics ar of my 1 Power skunk that remained. She is a tall bitch! As of this morning, she stood at 66". I'm only 69" tall! Anywhoo, here are the pics.












Now these are from both of my Blue Cheese. They're looking alright as far as flowering, but those forming buds smell ever sweet!



















My Nutes & Supplements are Dutch Master Gold Grow Part A & B, Dutch Master Flower Part A & B, Dutch Master Grow MAX(Performance Growth Supplement), Dutch Master Flower MAX(Performance Growth Supplement), Dutch Master Zone(Root Zone Conditioner), General Hydroponics FloraNectar(Sweetener), Advanced Nutrients Final Flush. At the bottom shelve is just my pH up & down, and my insecticides Safer® Brand Insect Killing Soap(Good to harvest day) and Green Light Concentrate Neem 3 in 1([FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]insecticide, fungicide and miticide)Also can use till day of harvest. ThaNX for the encouragement brother. Ive been sitting here worried that something ain't right. 4 weeks flowering. There's trichs forming on pistils and leaves. just doesn't seem like bud yet. They starting to get hard like nugs. I just figured they would be bigger nugs. These are like popcorn buds. BC smells very good. The other smells like a skunk took a bath in Fruit Loops Cologne. It has the sweetest smell under the skunky/dank smell.

am also growing one Blue Cheese and let me ask u a question about those yellow spots on the leaves, have u been having them from week 2? I know that during flowering it's fine to give a finer taste but could mean lack of something, couldn't?

First it's Drdodge29, thank u very much. Lets get the name right. J/K Please don't take that wrong. I am just kidding LATIN. So We have 2 things in common. Both grow BC and we're both Latinos. The yellowing on my leafs are from Burning because of Insecticide I used. I didn't spray the leaves with water the next day. Supposedly I was supposed to BUT!!!!!!!!!!! The directions didn't say to. I don't follow what u mean "I know that during flowering it's fine to give a finer taste but could mean lack of something, couldn't?" I'm assuming u mean I might be flushing for better taste? As far as missing something, um nah. I change res every week. And I use Dutch Master Gold Nutes. But like I said those burn marks on leaves were cause by Deficiency cause by the insecticide soap I used. Please don't get mad at me kidding around. Please stick around and follow this grow. Anyone growing BC please feel free to post pics on here so to compare to mine. Plus it can help others who are growin BC and come in here checkin for advice. If u have any advice, post them.
