i somewhat agree... i dont think the DEA should be involved with marijuana related issues...but in some countries(even our own) where drugs like cocaine and heroin are a big problem, and cause violence, then thats where they should be utilized
What if it's the laws that are causing the violence, not the drugs. Prohibition of any drug causes more people to use and abuse them. Not to mention, if they were sold in stores, and regulated, they could be sold for cheaper and the violence associated with them would be much less as you dont have to worry about violent people getting rich off of them or robbing/killing another dealer. Also, violence might come from someone selling you something fake, if they were legal and regulated you'd never have to worry about the chance that they're fake, or laced. Think about alcohol prohibition for a second. More people drank alcohol when it was against the law, it allowed the mob to take over, make tons of money and pretty much become the law of an area as their new (non taxed) income has allowed them to get more people and weapons. All we would need would be programs that taught the truth about substances, not the lies that are taught now. There are so many times where someone comes to me with some ridiculous info about weed and find out its just a myth that's been going around for years. I've done LSD in many states and it seems like everywhere I go the whole story about how someone accidentally took a whole vial and thought they were a glass of juice and couldn't sleep cause they'd spill, Or thought they were a banana and tried to peel themselves, that story has been around for so many years its crazy, and everywhere I go people always act like they KNOW the person it happened to, or it was a friend of a friend. Is it possible that this is true or is it an urban legend from the government in the 60's.

Plus, making them illegal makes it easier for younger kids to get them as dealers do not care about an age as much. For most people in High School, weed is easier to get then alcohol because you have to find someone 21 to get your alcohol. At least in my area. Now, I'm the one getting the alcohol but all my friend's brother's friends (all around 18 ) can easily get weed, coke, psychedelics, and whatever else is around at the time, but find it hard to get alcohol without me.
Think about it
