I think we will all agree that there are mountains of poor quality weed on the streets right now and I don't think its a leap to say that with so many hobbyist growers supplementing the market that there is a direct correlation between the two. I'll stand by my position; if you grow an Indica dominate strain and let her go all the way until end of life, she'll knock your ass out like a shotgun to the face. that same indica harvested 3 weeks early may still blast you out with 3-4 hits but it will lack its lasting power, and it certainly wont come close to resembling a proper Sativa high. But without any peer reviewed science these debates will always be regarded as opinions so its kind of useless to even bother.

The only way to end the debate is to do tests yourself and see what works. Certain plants will be better at cloudy trichs, some will be better at amber. Its a personal preference thing. Maybe some will prefer certain strains at different amounts of "ripeness." Its just kinda weak to come on and talk about how Ed and Jorge are crap, all these kids dont know shit, everyone sucks but me blah blah blah....

Doing tests yourself is the way to determine what YOU like but whether the plant is actually done or not isn't just an opinion. The plant is done when its done and just because some smokers may prefer the high from a pre-mature plant (cloudy trichs) doesn't make the plant actually done, it just means that the grower prefers to smoke premies.

There is no perfect day a plant is done, u are just getting sucked into Toks negativity. Harvesting a plant at 9 weeks is hardly premie, so go find another thread to bash hater

also consider that a lot of you stoners have been stoners for longer than i've been alive...

i don't think any of you have really realized how much you can get fucked up from some dank shit if you haven't been smoking for a long time. A lot of "kids" and older people are smoking some of the more potent strains out there these days and are impressed

I remember the first time i smoked some dank nug it nearly scared me off the weed scene i got so high, but of course i was hooked.

sadly i'm one of those people out there smoking that shitty bud sold for outrageous prices.

Tokes no one is challenging you on your harvesting knowledge, i'm actually going with your method because the stigma is that amber trichs couchlock... and you harvest amber ripe buds right? but hey this guy has a nice fat cola goin of some crystally stuff and i think that if someone who smoked total shit saw that they would fuckin freak because... lets face it street regs have almost no visible trichomes... also leading me to say that yeah that person that may not know what they are talking about in comparison to how a ripe bud should look but if that street shit is getting ppl high then how the fuck is that "not so ripe" shit not going to get them high. and if this dude has been growing it for 4-5 years then he's def not one of the reg street smokers and he says the stuff works. hey i believe him.

cut the fucking constant bashing. the idea here is to grow a beautiful plant from seed to harvest and smoke your own bud in peace and not have to worry about bag pinching fucking shit drug dealers!

Come on Buck, just because most growers do it wrong makes it ok? What kind of ass backward logic is that? No one is debating whether or not dude likes his weed, of course he does... that's not even debatable. The point is that the plant is done when it's done and just because you harvest early and get high off of it doesn't do the plant or the breeders who engineered the strain any justice. The "high" is not determined by when you harvest, it's determined by genetics and if you harvest early then you fuck up all the hard work the breeder expended manipulating his strain because you wont experience the crop in the way it was intended to be consumed.
 
These sites are full of people full of it. Full of what ever grow method works for them. It's just the way its going to be. I can sit and smoke with all and grow with all. I don't care. All I care about is that I can grow some dank, and not have to buy it again. And it's as good or better then all the connections I have bought from which are highly rated. Keep on growing what ya grow if it makes ya happy. Smoke ya later! :)
