im personally going to get sunleaves articsun plug and play reflectors for my 1000w'rs... they measure 18"x15"x8"... come with 2 - 6" flanges... so they work GREAT for daisy chaining, and also suck a SHIT ton of air through them since its a 6" hole on each side... plus they come hardwired with a mogul socket.. thats a great added plus... but there are a ton out there... check out wormsway.com... i go there to shop for my stuff... its a little pricey but if you find what you want and search for it im sure you can find it cheaper.. and for $100.00 you can join their "frequent farmer" club and you get 10% off.. isnt worth it unless you spend a lot..

First off hows everyone tonight?? I was bored so i made my dresser into a lil cloning/veg area! And all night i kept seeing bugs fly around, god did i mention i hate thrips and spider mites! Beleive it or not i thought i wasnt gonna get mites and i just got them (or i just noticed them), and yes i still cant get rid of the thrips, there reproducing and the adult thrips are flying around everywhere, can i get a hot shot 80 gram strip and put it in there during the day when im not in there or will it still harm me? I applied neem oil and am still in the process of applying it, is there anything else i can do at the smae same as applying neem like a pyrethium or a mosquito dunk or nematodes or something, ive read so many different ways of getting rid of them but wondering wat the best way is and most effective way! As of right now im killing them by hand, applying neem, and have duct tape on my hood to catch the flying insects!
Heres some recent pics everyone, i got a new mother and some new variety of cali's hottest cuts, o and on some of my girls the buds(white hairs) are fringing at the end it looks like and turning orange or amber! Is this because its too hott or too close to the light or is it starting to turn amber cuz im almost in week 4 of flowering? I think maybe the buds are getting to hott or somethign wat u guys think????? I cant take a pic cuz my camera wont take a pic that close, catch you guys later, first day back to work tomorrow i gotta go start framing a house so ill probally be on late as ill be beat and ready to smoke and chat with my fellow riu gang, later guys hope u like the pics

i cant believe you are still having thrip problems!! has the neem affected the populous at all?? see the issue you have now since they are flying all over your room is that they could lay eggs anywhere... usually they just lay in soil.. but who knows where all you could have eggs... and mites too?!? bro i feel for you.. i know exactly how you feel....
you can get a shot shots strip and keep it hung up during the times you arent in your room and then pull it down at night when you sleep... get a heavy duty freezer ziplock bag to store the pest strip in when you pull it down.. you dont want that shit leaking out over night... but just throw it up again the next day and just do it for a week or so and you'll be good... you could also get a few fly strips to catch the flying bastards... i believe they would be just as attracted to the fly strips as flys would.. so it'd cut down on that issue too..
the pistils could be starting to change due to maturity or heat.. sometimes if you spray your buds, the pistils will die.. which is what the color changing actually is.... or if you bump them while moving your plant.. or brush up against them.. basically there is a chance you can kill some pistils doing trivial tasks in your grow room... if they die from stuff like that they just grow back... had many of buds that were burnt from a spray i used a while back... and the next day or two they were bright white again... since your only 4 weeks in i doubt that its from maturity tho.. could be starting to amber a few pistils from you shorter flowering plants.. but its hard saying..
clones look good bro... you have such a nice variety.. keep it up... gonna keep following the next girls if you are gonna keep a journal of them..

ya of course ill keep a journal of them, anyway clones are a lil droopy but thats normal happened to my others, this time around im not gonna get the rockwool drenched like last time, well see how it goes! ive seen somewat of a notice but alot are still there and your right about the eggs! i brought my momma and shit in and she already has thrips but im trying to get them all off! im gonna put the hot shot in there and take it out everynight samsom, ill ghet a ziplock to put it in thanks

when i sprayed neem i tried not getting all the buds! ya i think its the heat cuz some buds that are closer are really hott i need to move my light up the extra 6 inches it has, i need to tie some more down due to cuz some are a lil tall and i cant move my hood much further up! so at 10 ill be hard at work! o hey samson when should i cut all the sunleafs and everything, to allow more growth to the buds and not the leafs and shit???? that will also get some of the bugs out of there!! thanks bro and damn your shit looks god man keep it up

um well it hasnt been really hot so im not sure, but me putting the cardboard on helped alot, since then the highest has only been 87F way better than 102f thanks bro im trying, next grow should be better, when this shit is done im bug bombing the fuck out of my room

i dont remove any leaves... ive heard some people say it helps, but i dont believe it does at all... those leaves are there to absorb light needed to grow.. wether it is veg growth or bud growth.. removing them just takes away energy for them... now once they start to yellow i do daily checks... if they are ready to come off you dont have to apply any pressure and off they come... so once it starts yellowing, yes i would start checking and pulling off the dead ones.. but until then leave them all on.. and i mean it when i say they come off with no pressure applied... youll know what i mean when they start coming off... if you are wanting light penetration tieing your branches apart is about the best way to achieve that after the stretch....

ya i know wat u mean i take all the dead or dieing leafs off everynight! they are already fallen off or i just shake the plant a lil and they all come off lol!! wat do u mean tie the branches apart??? i gave the girls the first feeding of pura vida bloom last night since i flushed them and since they been in flower! so well see how good they liked that around 10pm when the light comes on! its about time i give them some bloom nutes

Also i have 2 plants (grape ape) that are shorter than the rest and seem to be droopy the whole time in flower and has the least amount of white hairs and the plant just looks weird and different from the rest, i checked to see if it had balls anywhere on it but couldnt find any, might be stressed or is it maybe just the strain??

not every girl you grow will look perfect... sometimes you have to have raindays to enjoy the sunny ones.. she'll yield fine tho.. looks a lot like mine did early on in flowering.. look at the first few pages of my journal if you want to see..


as far as tieing the apart.. basically you would be doing what you will do later in flowering once the buds start weighting down the branch.. except its to maximize light... here is what you do...

1) take a cheap clothes hanger and break off the hook end
2) tie a piece of string around one end of the hook
3) place hook around branch.. about 1/2 way up each branch
4) secure other end of string to an anchor (use whatever you want to tie it too.. my room is a mess of strings)

if you do this and work on seperating the branches apart as much as possible you can get a lot more light exposure... plus you'll end up with a jungle of strings.. but taking the time to do it now will save you a lot of work later.. plus your branches will already have basic support for holding up their buds...

ya i figured i got them from him, i never should of went over there lol but i wanted to check his crop out since we both switched to 12/12 the same exact day! o well hopefully i can get rid of the mites! but im over the thrip thing, those fuckers wont go away lol so fuck them they can live in there and ill bug bomb and bleach when my crop is done in a month or less! thanks man im trying hard, sweating like a dog in there sometimes! um i really dont notice a difference with that no pest thing but i could be wrong! do u leave your fan on or off when its in ur room????

o its stealth enough, i recommend everyone to get one if there interested in a tent! the only thing i didnt like about them is the bars dont hold a hood comfortably so i bought one from homedepot and cut it to length and put it in and now it works fine, the bars the tent come with are just to keep the roof from sagging! its well worth it, go on ebay and look em up! kryptonit is a strain!! ya ill make a new video and post it when its up

i turn the oscilating fan i have on low and turn my exhaust fan off...
