white widow outside - how much light to bud?

I've had some white widow seeds in the draw for way to long now & I want to get growing.

I don't have a grow room or any indoor space so no choice but to go outside, which isn't a problem apart form I'm not sure how much light they need to flower.

Never grown any weed before so this is a learning curve so any advise is welcome.

Do I germinate them indoors or in some seeds trays outside now its summer?

Also how much light do they need to flower, I've read its 12hrs per day for 12 weeks, is this right & 4 weeks in the veg state?

What time of the year do we get 12hrs of light per day as that would be around September/October wouldn't it 4 weeks veg + 12 weeks flowering?

it isnt like indoor man.. u cant control the weather conditions... you have to let nature take its course... your plants usually take 1-2 weeks to initialize that the days are getting shorter. then they start to flower. if im not mistaken

germinate them inside and let them grow for at least a week just by a window, then move them outside. make sure they are somewhere where they can get sun all day (if possible). once they are outside you don't have to worry about any of that, nature will take good care of them :)

It would be nice to just leave them & let nature take its course but I thought that only the Auto flowering types could be left outside to grow & flower without worrying about how much light they need.

I'm going to soak the seeds then tonight & start tomorrow

The only reason I have never attempted to grow these before was because I don't have a grow room. I bought some Lowrider seeds last year for outside but just as they germinated they were destroyed by something

Couple of years ago somebody gave me a small plant that they had grown, I planted it outside but it didn't flower, so I haven't had any luck yet!

some strains take longer to start bud development, but unless they're male, they all bud out eventually. do some research on seed type for your enviorment and you'll be a pro at it before you know it!

Well I've had them in the propagator for about 4 weeks now & nothing not even one single seedling!

Is it possible that I have had them too long? They have been in the draw for a few years so wondering if that's why they haven't sprouted.

I would'nt think so. I had some seed from back in the 70's and alot of them germ. out, but I kept them in a somewhat dark place all that time. I always inspect my seed with magnifing glass to check for cracks, etc.

the plant will flower once the days get shorter and its dark out longer (around 12 hrs) once they plant gets 12 hr darkness it begins to flower. so make sure your not planting around a streetlight or anything that coulda been why your first one never budded

also man-if you want you can ply GOD outside as well.im growing a ww mother outside and thinking of doing so-you just take 2 black plastic bags and but it on the plant,u can use a big box or whatever suits u, just be shure it dont have any light leaks and shit.just study when your sun comes uo and goes down and put the bags in so the plant can get only 12h of light and then remove it after.
hope it helps:)
