louis are you telling me my cats don't love me ,they have been putting me on all this time , well out they go then
+rep real info here.Well, since you asked, it's called the amygdala. It's buried deep behind the frontal lobe and it's about the size of a cherry. in a human brain, and virtually non-existent in most animals brains (Excluding the primate, of course.)
Didn't you go to school to learn this stuff?
you all need to own a cat.love is based around conscious thinking and recognition of an individual outside yourself.
cats and dogs don't even recognize individuality.
it may be some sort of caring, but it's certainly not the same as /our/ definition of love.
it's simply impossible.
yeah, they also taught me Columbus was a hero.Well, since you asked, it's called the amygdala. It's buried deep behind the frontal lobe and it's about the size of a cherry. in a human brain, and virtually non-existent in most animals brains (Excluding the primate, of course.)

I've owned a cat, and I loved my cat.
but I can recognize the difference between dependance and appreciation and love.
animals are simply incapable of our definition of love, a commitment.
I mean, even if an animal expresses something like love on the outside, that does NOT mean in any way that it is actually love.
Well, can't argue with that point. But the difference between science and history is science can be proven.yeah, they also taught me Columbus was a hero.
i don't need to be told what i feel. do you feel love from others? when someone loves you can't you feel it? how come i feel love FROM my cat. that puts it on me now. am i messed up or what?
I'm pretty sure I've given two different definitions of love in this thread, and made it pretty clear which one I was talkin about.fdd2blk said:once again, define love. i think your definition may vary from mine.

prove it.they have no soul
i'm pretty sure i quoted someone else.
i'm done with you.
none of them made a bit of difference to me. i got bored with it. you debunked nothing on my end. though i'm sure you think otherwise.Yeah, that generally happens when people run out of points for me to debunk.
So, now we resort to the "noone understands it" scapegoat.none of them made a bit of difference to me. i got bored with it. you debunked nothing on my end. though i'm sure you think otherwise.
science has been know to be wrong. brains operate in waves. only a small portion of it is even understood. we really have no idea what the limit of ANY brain is.
