clones clones clones

i took my first clones today/// cut 45 then peeled off some skin, i used the powder and some jiffy seed starters... i expanded them and removed peat from netting and replaced with soilless mix... i wet the tip of clone and dipped in powder, then placed a little more powder in the hole... once the clone is in the medium i watered with non nuted water.. l was wandering if i keep the veg light cycle and should i nute them at all and how often to water/ any advise would b great.. thanks in advance pppls;-)

yes you can leave under youveg light...... no you do not want to use any nutes tell about 3 weeks after they have rooted, then start at 1/4 strength...

Glad to know of that cloning in flower stage. Been hearing rumors that it worked but had been previously and obviously erroneously been told you have to take the clones in the veg phase. Thanks. As to the orignal question on cloning I never heard of peeling the branch. All my research on the topic seemed to indicate to just make some shallow cuts longways on the bottom of the stem so thats how I do it. I roll them in Scots cloning powder put them directly into one gallon hempy buckets with Pearlite and Turface grow medium and start watering with lightly nuted and ph'd water. Very weak CFL's as in a bulb or two out of the array. Cover with the dome and mist 5 times a day with properly ph'd but non neuted water. When they get perked up and growing good start turning on some more lights one at a time. Keep the lights a good ways off. Like to kilt a batch when I moved the CFL's too close. Aint never had a failure (knock on wood of course:)

clones need very little light, but humidity is very important, so a dome or a big glass jar over them is a good idea-just spray them with water every day and also let some new air inside them.you dont have to use any nutes or "lightly nuted" water-regular water is perfect.these nutes aint going to change nothing-its just a waist.

keep up the good work...

I use nutes when I clone. Becareful of using too much powder. To much powder (it's synthetic suxin the chemical used to cause a plant to root) can cause the plants not to root. Generally once you dip into the powder and then tap off the excess that should be enough. I know Weed Wrold last month said to use nutes when cloning. I have done it both ways and had great success using and not using nutes. You don't really need them to clone, but make sure you spray them everyday about 1/2 way through the light cycle. I like to give a light foliar feed with my spray but be careful. With no roots the leaves are the only thing the cutting has to breathe and take in nutes. If you add to much foliar spray the blant will die. If you aren't used to using it, then just straight water. Also when taking cutting make sure you put them under water to trim to avoid any air from getting in the stem.

well, its the third day and they r starting to liven up a little... i used a square 5 gal bucket and cut it in half then divided it in 4 sections for my clones. i have tried a few ways to create humidity but i think i screwed up using such a large container although they r looking better as to worse.. any suggs???

I Can't see the pics ? But if you can't create a humidity dome just make sure you spray them with distilled water with a spray waterbottle 2 3 times a day most this will keep the soil moist and keep the humidity in the right ranges... I have used this successfully 100% return, and the dome method 100 % return so either way I think you'll be alright. OH ya good job on cloning in general meng:bigjoint:
