You will see that Down by law is a great vehicle for his style.

Check out "Coffee & Cigarettes" too... He's in that and another great film.

Tom Waits kicks ass, I saw him at the Center for the Performing Arts in San Jose back in '90 or '91

Tht rocks man.

I have never seen him play. It is one thing that I am going to make sure to do before its to late. I also have always wanted to see Les Claypool play live and I finally got to see him about 2 weeks ago in Ventura, CA

Do you guys listen to Primus or Les Claypool?
Les is a big Tom Waits fan and friend

I'm big into Pat Metheney, and when I want to simplify, I turn to John Prine or perhaps Leo Kottke.

I'll give those you listed a listen tho...

I like almost all of Jim Jarmusch's movies, Coffee & Cigarettes was actually my least favorite though. Stranger Than Paradise, Down by Law, Mystery Train, Night on Earth, Dead Man... My favorite has to be Ghost Dog, that movie rocks

I love every single one of his albums. I listen to his music just about every day.
My favorite albums are Bone Machine and Nighthawks at the Diner. :peace:
