INCOME TAXES ARE ILLEGAL: so don't pay.

Hardly, but the system you're proposing is like watching some one break their legs through stupidity, and then letting them break your legs so that both of you are screwed. Which is absolutely retarded.
What system did I propose? I don't every remember doing so. I just wanted to make sure that you understand the absolute necessity of unemployment for capitalism to thrive (not that we've had any semblance of capitalism for 10 years). There must be a contingency of unemployed to keep wages down and provide viable workforces for new companies. It's a simple point.

10 years, try 60+ JRH, or going on 100 if you use the establishment of the monopolistic Federal Reserve as a bench mark for the destruction of the capitalist system that the United States was built upon.

Agreed. I should have said at least 10 years.
No harm, no foul, politics is so incredibly... STATIC.

Same BS in Ancient Rome
Same BS in Ancient Babylon
Same BS in Athens
Same BS in England
Same BS in the United States

one would think that after 2,000 years of suffering from bureaucrats that consistently prove that they are no more human (but often times less human) than the rest of us that society would be sick of trying to form "good" governments, whatever the heck that elusive ideal is supposed to mean.

you know actually we don't really pay that much compared to other nations,(some Europeans pay up to 50%) but if I pay taxes to my government so they can make my country better, than so be it, that's just what I'll do, and its not like I've ever experienced another way before, so I don't see the big deal. Have any of the people on here NEVER had to pay taxes before, unless they are 5 years old, probably not. So I'm not sure what the point of all this is?
Just saying this thread was made by someone who was depressed and didn't want to pay taxes anymore, boo fucking hoo!!!!! You HAVE to no matter where you go.:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:

Yeah, well just because you've never experienced a different way, doesn't mean that there isn't a better way. And no one is saying abolish taxes completely (though that would be nice) we're saying abolish income taxes, which punish hardwork, and when coupled with the welfare state reward sloth, laziness, and spendthrift behavior.

Alternative systems such as Tariffs (which was the way the government was funded before the Federal Reserve and Income Taxes) can be used, and provide an incentive for companies to build factories inside the country to avoid tariffs.

Then there's the National Retail Sales Tax (FairTax) which would replace the income tax with a sales tax and require a much smaller, efficient IRS, because the number of collection points would shrink from 200+ Million to a few million or even less, as the government would only be collecting at retail sites. It would also result in the government being less invasive in people's lives.

Of course, the FairTax would cause problems for the Fascist Police State, because no longer would the government be able to violate the 4th amendment against search with out probable cause, and thus individuals would once again be secure in their property, papers and homes from the tyranny of the State.

There's also the aspect of the fact that the income tax is an immoral system that is similar to slavery, because it is collected using force and coercion, (a trait that it could be argued that Tariffs would share) unlike the FairTax which would be voluntary, because people could just not make purchases if they wanted to save their money free of taxes. It wouldn't punish hardwork, thrift and accumulation of wealth and thus would ultimately make it easier for people to build up wealth, and start their own businesses. Which would increase the dynamicism and resiliency of the economy, and allow for more people to migrate from the lower and middle classes to the upper classes.

You state you HAVE to pay taxes. I'll assume that's because you realize that any government will use force to MAKE you if you don't. My question is - Should you have to? What if a person lives in the Yukon in a Cabin and wants to be left alone...should they have to pay taxes?

Well Obama must really really agree with you. Unemployment is at 9.5%....and climbing. Does that make him an Uber Capitalist, or just simply wrong?

Not at all. I can agree with nationalizing the Fed, but I don't think giving government control of the money supply is a viable solution.

Weimar Republic
Rome
Zimbabwe
The monarchies of Europe during the Middle Ages
Japan
China
Britain

all that control of the money supply does is allow government to debase the currency. The real solution is to repeal legal tender laws and allow people to use gold, silver and copper coins as currency. The only thing the government needs to do is set a fixed system of weights and measures that correspond to units (Dollar, Quarter-Dollar, etc.) like they were required to do under the Constitution.

Well, We all know that will never happen, It's not even possible to accomplish with this modern society with credit cards and such. Try to take away peoples cards and you'll see a real revolt. You'd have to change peoples minds and we can see how difficult that is, some form of massive brainwashing. Also, I seriously doubt that without a huge influx of gold, (Kinda like the lost Inca gold), there would be enough gold to mint enough coins to cover the wealth of americans. Can you envision how many truckloads of gold it would take just to cover Bill Gates, How about the Walmart heirs, no, we can never return to the gold standard. Too many people.
