That is a bro fo sho! Hey in case you are wondering, you can grab industrial HPS lights almost anywhere. couple mods and you would be in busy. Usually can be wired for a multitude of voltages. Worth checking them out if u are on a budget. You thinking about going back to school?

I'm in school right now actually. The reason I wanted this hordilux is because it is considered to be among the best grow bulbs, they are environmentally friendly, made in Europe, and the research that goes into these bubs is bar none. It has a spectrum that has 17% more.... actually let me just post some info about it...

HORTILUX™ SUPER HPS™ - 55,000 Lumens
Super HPS™ grow lamps fine-tune your lighting system to povide optimum spectral energy levels that promote vigorous plant growth. The EYE Super HPS™ EN Grow Lamps provide 17% more total energy and 25% more energy in the violet, blue, and green spectrum than standard High Pressure Sodium lamps. These lamps are environmentally friendly and pass EPA, TCLP test criteria as non-hazardous waste.

OK had to post something on the 2 week anniversary. Actually, I have a purpose. THC recommended. I supercrop the larger ladies for several reasons. One, I am going out of town for 5 days and can look after them and they have been grow almost 1/2 an inch a day for the past couple of days. And the other is the i have a ton of space I am not taking advantage of in that box. The plan is to super crop and the do some LST to get as many nodes as possible.

So, I pinched the stem which was hard as hell and folded it down about 1/2 an inch above the soil. I then used a zip tie to tie them down to some old locks i had (kinda random but I didn't have any conventional weights. The pictures are about 5 hours after I did this. My camera went dead as I was doing this.:dunce: The first picture is where I pinched the stem and bent it over. Both plants were growing vertically very fast and when I tied them down mostly stem was showing. Now when you look at the pic all you see is leaves. The ladies have already covered the stems and started growing toward the lights in 5 hours!

Please let me know if I did something wrong or if there is something else I need to do before I go out of town. I plan on giving them a very healthy watering before I leave! Other than that, this is how they will stay. :peace:

1 day ofter the supercrop and they look much different! Also, I watered them today until water was dripping from the bottom of the bags. I am going out of town for 5 days in about 30 minutes so it will be interesting to see what they look like in 5 days. I am going to be so excited to come back and see what happens!

OK, I have been in the OBX since Saturday; therefore, no posts. I just got back and the first thing I had to do is check up on my ladies. Here are the results:

The first ladies was the runt of the litter and was only an 1 and 1/2 and now about 6 inches tall and the leaves are sticking up at a 45 degree angle. This is the only one I didn't supercrop but will soon get pinched, pushed over and weighted down like the other two.

The second one was the Queen but has now been taken over by the lady in the 3rd pic.

Enjoy :hump:

They're not pots and they're not ghetto, they're grow bags. They sell them at almost all hydroponic stores as well as most home and garden stores.

Plants to look great bro, Keep it up!

Per THC's request, here are some side views of the plants followed by the top view.

Also, the last pictures if a closeup of a hole that is in the middle of what looks like a very healthy leaf. Any cause of concern?

Looking great man, I would keep moving your weight further towards the new growth every couple of days, also you can supercrop the side branches when the get tall enough. You would just bend them way from the center of the plant to allow light to get to the main stalk, this is where your new growth will come from. You dont necessarily have to tie them down, you can just supercrop them once a week or so, in different spots along the same side branch.

As far as the hole in the leaf goes. No cause for concern probably just got nicked by the fan or damaged while handling. Not going to effect the plant in any noticeable way.

Decided to femm the smallest of all the ladies as an experiment. The pictures looks like it is focuses on the leaves instead of where I femmed but hopefully you can see what I did. Let me know if this is good!

Talk with THC got me excited so I decided to make a DWC cloning system. I am a firm believer that this is the easiest and cheapest way to clone. I bought an air pump, and air stone (which is really an air tube that you can bend any way you want), and a couple containers from Wal-mart.
Containers $3.50 per = $7
Air pump = $15
Air tube = $6
More CFLs = $10
So, I spend a total of $38 to get a DWC cloner. It only took me about an hour to build too.

I am a do-it-yourselfer all the way and I think its half to fun. Buy a prebuilt system is WAY more expensive and just not as fun.

I took pictures of all the components and the finished product in my stealth box. Its not quite sealed up like I want it to be in terms of light but it does the job for now. I think I cut my clones too short. What do you guys think? The neoprene collars were much thicker than I thought.

I am also posting some pictures of my 3 ladies from 2 days ago. They aren't much different now just that I have done some LST on them and they are just a bit bigger.

Looks awesome bro. Great job. Can you take a pic of the air diffuser in action? Also, this is not necessary but it might help.... try putting a damp sponge in the top section just for added humidity. Yours is going to kick mines ass but I did only spend 17 dollars so I guess I can't expect too much.

Thanks THC, per your request, here is a picture of the air diffuser in action. I hope this is what you meant.

Also, in my DWC setup I added Technaflora's Thrive Alive B-1 Red to help with rooting. I also stuck the end of each clone in Rooteh Cloning Gel right after I cut them off the other ladies.

I also, took a picture of my 3 grown ladies. As you can see they are basically taking up all lateral space in my box and they only have 1 or 2 inches of vertical space. I was told that they will basically double in size after i flip to 12/12 and start flowering so I immediately flipped them.
